  1. G'day all so yesterday, finally had success and turned out to be really simple, was on the Racepak forum and typed in the right search info for once, and turns out it has nothing to do with can bus as the interface lead is serial, stupid me, so anyway here is a link for anyone else trying to do this and also there is mention of a proper can bus interface but is only available as one off specials.

  2. Hi All,

I'm trying to get my racepak UDXSR dash and ViPec vnet module to read from my V88, have set up the dash ok and am trying to find out what the channel id is from Racepak, however my question hear is, how do I change the channel ID in the canbus configuration in VTS, I have the latest version and firmware has been upgraded ECU ser # is 12xxx, I have tried to change the id but it keps reverting back too ID 1000 or ID 0 I have hit apply each time I have tried to change and even tried a store but no success.

    Regards,

  3. Hi All,

have been having a play with this Can Bus fly lead, no matter how i connect it, (open circuit, or with 120 ohm resistor on the end or with xr6 cluster on the end) i loose computer comm's, ie computer starts searching for the connection to the V88.

Is this normal or am i doing something wrong

  4. Good luck with your project.

I have installed a V88 on a BA XR6T, with full Atomic setup.

I am also controlling the factory DBW with the V88.

I have done a street tune on it and will be tuning it on the dyno this weekend.

Aiming for around 800 HP at the wheels for now, final target will be around 1000 at the wheels on race gas.

Sounds awesome, I'll be hooking up the DBW as well, also the vct. You got a thread on it? if not keep us posted here. I read the 1 you did on the 5.4l ford, that was pretty much my decider for the V88, this is the 1st ecu transplant for me, previously just modified existing ecu's with J3 chips.

  5. G'day all, just got my V88 last Tuesday, many thanks to Mark from Godzilla Motorsport, AWESOME service. anyway its going to power a 4.0l dohc barra motor with a few goodies from Atomic, Camtech, Spool and later on Garret, which will be going into a 99 XH falcon ute. :D
