Hi! Can anyone explain me why I'm limited to add just only 23.2 % of opening of ICV during cranking conditions? it's not enough to start up s50b30 engine with stock ICV.
Note that car have 900 RPM at IDLE with ZERO ICV duty

yes
Erors stay at zero
But anyway with enabled cam angle test if something goes wrong i will receive different cam angles when i play with throttle
So today we age going to rebuild vanos system and will take a look
this particular car havearoun 150 000 km mileage and problems with vanos have been guaranteed)
-
Please take a look at log
I have disconnected phisically solenoids and NO single error have occured
-
of course i have done it
you can see that error is shows up during opening or closing of cam
when camshaft sitting stable in closed\open case - there is no errors at all
i think that problem in vanos system it have low\no pressure in retard camera
so thats why we see errors
-
You don't have to rely completely on manufactures data
in 99% it's non usable in you particular application

Well done on identifying the problem with the VVT input. Of your images above the upper image has the correct polarity on trigger one.
If you want to upload an updated base-map and log file I'm happy to have a look and see if I can see any problems in the VVT control setup.

I have ej25 engine( subaru v10 ) and bosch knock sensor
You can check knock detection calibration
it's working very well for my application
-
You have set to long minimum pulse width
It mean that injector will be opened at least for 1.5 msec per cycle
NOT shorter!
If you check current injector pulsewith you can see it always 1.5 ms on idle
and untill you make master fuel big enough that ECU will calculate injector pulse width more than 1.5 msec AFR will not change
Master fuel is very important parametr
if you change it - it will affect AFR in entire range of RPM and load

problem sovedI have assigned VVT inlet Lh function to Trigger 2 and di2(which actually shows camshaft position)
When i turned off trgger2 vvt function - everything stabilized and started to work
except vanos) i think it in bad condition
because it can not hold target
instead of 10 degree it instantly open to it's maximum and closing very long

I have connected signal from inlet camshaft sensor(which shows real cam angle) to trigger 1 and run oscilloscope
It have wrong polarity?
I have changed polarity on sensor
but i have no luck
i still have not stable values on cam angle test
as we can see we have 8 teeth on camshaft
-
I have tested this version
but anyway i can't get stable set
i have retarded\advanced cam already
-
there is 8 teeth on camshaft

Hi Everyone!
I have tryed to do cam angle testing
and see that cam angle always changing
Maybe there is some problems with firmware?
-
ok)
But I think it would be very useful to add second master fuel/injector latency/cranking time to have really independent 2 fuel maps
-
I want to know is it possible to run 2 separate injectors set?
I mean I have I88
4 cylinder engine
And I want to run gasoline and LPG( separately of course)
I want that I88 to control both sets gasoline and LPG injectors( sequentaly)
So there is only one problem: to activate another set of injector simultaniously with switching second fuel map
-
I want to control DCCD by Vipec
I want that one Axe to be analog input from G sensor( it's can be done) and second axe to be calculated difference between front and rear axel speed!( I think it's impossible to do currently)
I think it will be very useful if we( users) can set calculated parametr as axel in GP pwm table or any other table.
Also let's discuss how we can realize rolling launch?
Basicly it's speed limiter and as soon as we activate it Ecu have to catch current speed and activate IGN cut to build boost.
Or second variant - rmp limiter with the same logic.
I have tryied to realize this on current firmware but always have the same problem - car always want to increase speed sue to fact I have set target lauch rpm to 5500 and ignition start cut rmp to 4000. I know that if I increase % of ign cut I can hold desired rpm but I don't think it's right.
Also I want to have separate normal lauch and rolling launch which can be activated through different DI's.
-
completely not!
I mean I have logged X and Y parametrs then I want to calculate Z value which equal Z=X*X-Y/5( for example)
It will be very useful when you want to calculate smthng special or when you forgot to log parametr which can be calculated
-
Simon also can I Ask you to do custom log creation feature. I mean that it will be useful to create custom log based on logged data.

Hi everyone!
I'm have problems with etrottle map. I want to set one axe to be BARo correction but software don't let me to set numbers which are not in 90-110 range.
It's problem for me because i have very low Idle in mountains where BAP are 0.75.
Also I want ask you to add baro correction to Idle base duty and wasgate duty. It will be very usefull for me because in our area BAP vary from 0.75 to 0.95

Hi everyone!
Do Anyone ever mind how Vipec calculate how much fuel to inject?
As I can see and estimate calculation pretty simple and shitty. Because vipec isn't calculate how much air have been consumpted! And then take a look at AFR Target table/fuel table/latency/other corrections to calculate injector pulsewidth. We just operating some kind of "numbers" in fuel table to take desired (afr table)result.
Also as we can see in help file vipec do not reccomend to change afr for more than 0.5 afr due to fact we don't get desired afr.
So all we do in fuel table - just try to get our AFRs by the changing pulsewidth which we see not in ms. That's why we often have very shitty 3D graphs.
Also vipec don't take in account IAT to determine air density. Just simple IAT correction table which can just add/subtract percent from injector pulsewidth! NOT calculated air mass!
Can Anyone explain to me how it's possible to have stable AFR each day in any place with such kind of calculator?
Guys Can I ask you to create normal speed density strategy to calculate mass of air and just then injector pulsewidth?

Can anyone confirm offset number for S54 triggers which given in help file?

Thanks !
But Can anyone provide me base map for s54 engine with all stock triggers and DBW?
Or at list Settingsfor DBW and VAnos solenoidsbase settings?
-
Hi Everyone!
Currently I have a project Bmw e30 with s54 engine. As I know Vipec can handle s54 trigger pattern and also dual vanos control.
Maybe it's possible to share base map for it?
Also we want to crank subru EG33 engine. We have 2 sprockets on the crankshaft:first- multitooth 12, second 12-1.
What kind of wheel give me better accuracy?

I have issues with misfiring during power run
IF you open 3uzcamtest log you can see that engine have a huge drop in power and even cannot rev up
I already checked everything spark plugs\coil\ have flowbench injectors\check power supply on each injector and on each ignition coil
Also I have veryfied that ignition angle is stable during run
What can be wrong?
