Hi
I’m thinking about making a multi-fuel car which runs on gasoline, E85 and LPG. This will require normal gasoline injectors and some low Z LPG-injectors + a LPG fuel pump.
With E85 I would properly need extra fuel for cranking and extra fuel for sudden throttle opening (compared to gasoline mode).
With LPG I don’t think that extra cranking- and warm-up fuel is needed(less or no enrichment compared to gasoline mode) because LPG will boil/vaporise immediately when it is injected – even when it is a very very cold-start.
When switching to LPG-mode the LPG fuel pump has to prime for about 5 sec first. Then switch to LPG injectors(thinking about doing that with a Solid State relay because it is a 5cyl Audi engine) and then turn off the gasoline/E85 pump... And almost the same procedure when going back to gasoline or E85 mode.
So... Is it possible to have: Switchable master-fuel, switchable injector setup, switchable cranking- and warm-up fuel enrichment, and the fuel pump prime + switching sequence? If not now.. What about in the future?
