  1. hi,

recently setup my 3sgte for coilpacks

max advance is still set at 42.0 with a spark duration of 1.2

set to rising edge for 1zz coilpacks

I initially had problems getting the engine fired

I still take the triggers from the distributor NE IS crank AND G1 + G2 are cam

I initially wired to G1 and found this to be 180 degrees out so engine wouldn't run

just wired to G2 instead and engine started straight away

  2. hi,

converting to coil on plug direct fire ignition on my celica 3sgte using 4 x   1zz coils

have been running the standard distributor setup for some time

having a problem getting the setup in the link software

    under auxillary outputs - ign

i have set the 4 x ignition drives to ignition

under ignition section and ignition setup page it will not let me access the ignition mode dropdown box

this is currently set to distributor as per my existing setup.

i guess that there should be an option here for direct fire ignition

Is there something else i need to set first before these option become available?

    any help much appreciated

    thanks

  3. hi everyone, new to the forum  but I'm looking for some advice.

I have been running a G3 on a Toyota celica gt4 for about 5 years now and had no problems at all.

I am now using the car in autocross so would like to activate the antilag.

as this is purely a race car (no road use at all) I want to fit a Group A style anti lag.

I already have a exhaust manifold with addition air pipework so can duct air in directly.  this is how the original Toyota rally cars did it.

my plan is to fit a solenoid valve before the throttle plate that will allow air to pass directly into these pipes and hence into the exhaust manifold.

the antilag needs to be switchable as I do not need to use it during practice sessions etc.

my plan was to switch the anti lag on / off using the digital input and then let the ecu pull timing / alter fuelling etc.

at the same time hook up the solenoid valve to an auxillary so that it opens when the throttle is closed.

    does this sound about right?

has anyone else managed to fit a group A style antilag or does everyone go the group N route and just jack the throttle plate open?

    any help much appreciated

  4. Hi everyone, New to this as I have just wired a G3 to a celica gt4 (ST205) - 3sgte engine I haven't tried to start the car yet as the software is telling me that I have 5 volts at the throttle position sensor along with the same at the engine temp and air inlet temp sensors. Did a sensor calibration on the TPS but now it just permanently reads 0%. Doesn't matter if you press the throttle it just stays at 0% I've checked the wiring but casn't see anything obvious ANY IDEAS / HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED??
