Havent fitted an igniter the coils are stock replacements from dsr turbo do these require an igniter?

Hi I have recently installed and wired a G4 ecu into a nissan silvia with a standard SR20 engine. I am having trouble getting it to start for the first time. I used an SR20 base map from PC link and configured all the necessary inputs and outputs to suit.  When the engine is cranked it appears to have injector pulse but no spark.  Both triggers have a good signal to the ecu and engine rpm is around 220 while cranking.  I can get spark from the coils using the ignition test function.  Any help would be appreciated.
