  1. It doesn't have to be the whole table, just a large block of cells, the larger the block the worse it gets. Yes the "maths" functions work ok, it is just with the q&a increment keys. Give it 3 or 4 clicks on the key & the table freezes up while things are happening, the delay can be several seconds. The delay is also reflected in the change in lambda.

I will see if I can arrange a video demonstrating it.

  2. Why is it when a large block of cells in say a fuel or ignition table is selected and then incremented up or down does it take for ever for the change to take effect in the ecu?

Is this due to the slow serial connection to the laptop or just slow code?

It does make tuning frustrating, surely other people have noticed this.

  3. That could very well been seen as false advertising - at best its seemingly deliberately misleading. 99.9% of people wouldn't have a clue on the difference between Mb & MB and take it on face value. All other ecu brands that I can think of advertise their logging in MB.

Logging has always been painfully slow to down load on the old g4 platform, thought it might have got a bit better with the g4+, but piping it through an old fashioned serial to usb converter is the ultimate limit I spose.

  4. So how much logging does the g4+ range actually have??

With a EVO1-3 plug in it is advertised as "Up to 32Mbit internal logging memory". But in reality the largest log achievable seems to be 8MB - & with only 60 channels logged it gives a pitiful 17 minutes logging time.

Also it takes forever to down load a log this size - but I spose through a on board serial to usb converter it would be slow.

  5. Yeah, that was the approach I had in mind, I'v set up knock control on other platforms.

Its a stock engine & as we know they are fragile (no disrespect to Subs, I think they are cool cars), so I just want to know that the G4plus knock control can be counted on considering the junk fuel he is forced to use.

  6. Hi, I am tuning a mates Subaru WRX soon & will be using the closed loop knock control. It will be running on pump gas & he only has poor quality fuel available where he lives so the knock control will likely be called on to be used.

I have read the help files & reckon I have a good handle on how to set it up.

Question is how well can the G4plus knock control be trusted??

  7. Why does the positive integral term reduce the duty cycle instead of increase it for the boost target error in this run?

The base wg duty cycle from 4000rpm on is 30%. The positive I term is reducing the base wg duty cycle when it should be increasing it.

Settings used are in the bottom picture.

  8. I see. The guy that owns the car is really peeved off over this. He spent good money to buy the ecu cause it was advertised as being able to do all of these functions, but when it comes to the crunch it clearly can't.

  9. Was setting up things on a mates evo. It needed dual fuel, ignition & boost tables & antilag which all set up ok. But when i went to set up the launch control it came up with a message that said the ecu had run out of tables - whats the go here?

  10. Here you go, it does it off line to. The group of cells between -40kpa & -90kpa and 0rpm to 8000rpm was selected but it pasted the values into the block between -40kpa & 20kpa

The values were copied from fuel table-1 to fuel table-2. When you go back to the table that was copied from the boarder is around different cells to that copied from.

  11. I had an issue the other day trying to copy a block of cells from fuel table 1 to fuel table 2. When I hit paste it copied the values to the block of cells directly below the block of cells highlighted in fuel table-2. Both tables were set up with identical axis. After the third attempt it copied into the correct place. Is this just a random bug??
