Checked that just now, volts went down to 10 or so when cranking, and I did just notice when I have all of the leads out it is actually sparking and jumping across to the leads and it fired the engine just by doing this but when I have them connected to the coil properly I don't even get a pop.. sounds like a coil issue breaking down under load but surely I don't have 2x buggered coils haha

Forgot to mention i did the ignition test, that worked fine, and not getting any error count when cranking.. im thinking maybe degraded wiring to the coil.

Hi All,

I know there has been some other threads on this topic but I think I have a new one, I dont think its got anything to do with the ECU but hopefully someone has seen it before..

I get no spark on crank but as soon as I let go of the key I get a few sparks from the coil.. the car was running fine last week so I dont know what has happened, I have signal from trigger 1 and 2 and they are reporting ok when cranking as well as engine RPM.. 

I tried a different coil, running an extra ground to the coil, checked fuses but no go .. at a bit of a loss..

 

Has anyone come across anything like this before ?

I just had a look and the second fan was configured as engine fan 3 and setup to activate at 96deg however engine fan 2 isnt configured and is setup at 0deg.. hopefully thats the issue, Ill test it out tonight.

Hi All,

I have an issue where the engine fan step seems to be always active regardless on weather engine fan 1 or 2 are on.

I noticed when the engine fans came on the idle dipped quite low and nearly stalled so I adjusted the engine fan step while they were off and noticed the engine speed changing.. this should obviously not be the case.. is there anything I'm missing?

I am using the latest software and firmware, the ecu is a plugin WRXLink 3-4

Hi Everyone,

I got this tape stuff with my G4+ Plugin ECU, Im guessing its some kind of anti static or grounding tape but ive never seen it before and it doesnt mention it anwhere in the installation instructions.. can anyone shed some light on where its meant to be applied if at all ?
