Cade Wilson
Hi, I have sent an email last week but have not recieved a reply. I have a subaru lem, on the chip it says in hand writing/ wrx 99j 19 oct 99 775. Just wondering what type of computer it is. Is it good for a road car, Cheers.,
ashesman
This ECU is an old style version 5-6 WRX plug-in ECU. In fact it is so old that it does not have PC tune. But yes, this would be suitable for a road car. You will need a Link tuning module to tune it. Cade Wilson
Thanks for that, Just another thing. Do i run the airflow meter with this lem? also is closed loop a better mode to operate in.
ashesman
This older style ECU does not use the air flow meter at all. You can remove it if you want. It uses the factory MAP sensor. If you get it tuned well enough you will be able to not use closed loop. Closed loop has its applications but it should only be used on a well tuned engine...
