  1. Hi, I’ve got a Vipec V44 in a car that I’m repairing and the engine is a 6 cylinder V6 6G72. Since the V44 can only support 4 injector outputs, I am short 2 outputs. I believe I will have to wire them up in pairs and run them in pairs. The firing order for the 6G72 engine is 1-2-3-4-5-6. I’m assuming I wire them up in pairs of: 1&2, 3&4 and 5&6. settings should be multipoint group injection. Please let me know if I’m on the correct path to this setup. Thank you
  2. Hello. I have an evo 7 with the Vipec V44 plug-in updated to the latest firmware. and i would like to run a flex fuel tune. I see that there are dual maps, the ability to run a flex fuel sensor. I have seen somewhere that in the latest firmware that you can run a flex fuel set up but I have also seen that you can only use 98 or e85 and need to switch maps depending on the fuel you wanted to use, if I was to run a flex fuel sensor will the V44 be able to run a proper flex fuel set up and adjust the tune to suit the ethanol%? I have spoken to a tuner who said its possible and another that has stated that i will need to order a new ecu in order to flex fuel. I thought I will ask here as i don't want to buy a new ecu if i don't need to. thank you all for the help.
  3. Hi all Just wondering if the V44 PnP on a V6 WRX controls the 'pressure exchange solenoid'? Part number is 14774AA530. The vacuum line from the intake manifold to the MAP sensor routes through this solenoid but when you unplug the solenoid there are no ECU errors/voltage drops and when the solenoid is powered off you can't blow/suck through it in any direction. Just wondering if it is a hindrance to the MAP sensor now that I don't have the factory ECU and possibly the V44 isn't controlling it? Can I just run a vacuum line from the intake manifold to the MAP sensor (which is now an Omni Power 3 Bar) or does this solenoid have something to do with allowing the MAP sensor to read boost but not vacuum, instead making it read atmospheric pressure when the manifold is in vacuum? If it's not operational then it means I can get rid of it plus the unused factory boost control solenoid and big silly bracket they both share, cleans things up a little. If I can indeed run a vacuum line directly from the manifold to the MAP sensor does it need any check valves or filters on the line etc? Cheers Owen
  4. Hi I hope someone can help me. Car is old vw beetle and i try to get more than 500bhp out of it. Had struggles past 3 years, but i really hoped to join my friends next weekend for my first dragrace. On the dyno, with load, the car is "buggering" or misfires. My "dynoguy" says there is not clean enough trigger signal, so the ecu does not now exactly were crank position is and misfires. I have tried 3 different triggerweel setups with VR sensors, and had several dyno attempts, also rerouted the shilded trigger cable so its far away from power wires. I have a friend with same type V44 and i borrowed his ecu last night, but could not hear any approvements or see any on the log. I have log files if someone could look at them. My "Dynoguy" also told me to log RPM-rate, so i did. But was this data mean? I really hoping for help. Edit: I Have attached engine map and log from yesterday. Just started it on trailer. min-ecu-Log 9-08-17 9;24;20 pm.llg Turboroadster-09-08-2017.pcl
