[7age monsoon setup. Timing?]

Legend. Knew it would be something simple but I didn't think it would be THAT simple.

7age first start, I'm working my way through the setup and I can't work out how to change the base timing.

It coughs and backfires, so under "set base timing" (which came set at 340 BTDC in the startup file I've got) no matter what I do it just reverts back to 340°

Should changing the trigger offset, change where my timing mark sits under cranking? (It doesn't) And shouldn't clicking Done, keep the new calibration settings?

I'm obviously missing something

I've found a download for 1 on the forums but it seems to be the wrong file type or I just don't know what I'm doing.

Monsoon G4+, blacktop 7age, ITBs, CoP, turbo.

@Adamw I'm probably missing something simple but is there a reason i cant open this in pclink? Possibly because I'm running g4+ and its the wrong file type?

looked around for a 7agte startup map and ended up here.

At this stage I'm looking at just upgrading to a monsoon when I can afford it

three windows 10 laptops, all three have the exact same results. 

so i either have a bad ecu, a bad cable, or I'm doing something wrong.

If you right click on the unknown device and choose uninstall and then remove the driver when it asks if you want to delete it, then re-plug, does it then still get identified as unknown?

If you ring our UK tech support number you might get Dave around this time that could possibly take a look on team viewer.

Yup I've deleted the driver multiple times, it's the only way I can get it to show up from hidden  again. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the link software too.

I'll try a different laptop and see if I can get it to work

I've got a new windows 10 laptop, and I'm trying to connect to my LEM G3 ecu. Every time i try to connect i get "Unknown USB Device (Device descriptor Request Failed)

I have installed the latest g4 and g4+ programs and the drivers seem to install fine, but when i try to update the driver it tells me "the best drivers for your device are already installed" and i get no further.

In other posts the first thing asked for is the hardware id. Mine just shows up as USB\DEVICE_DESCRIPTOR_FAILURE.
