  1. I noticed that too while looking around. That gives me a little more peace of mind. I’ll have to look at my scope logs from a few years back when I was developing my own engine sim/pot board. It’s been long enough that I don’t remember which way the zero crossings went.
  2. Right on, thanks guys. I'm sure the scope will tell me what's going on. It's actually running a B-series in an OBD2B Civic, so I do have a couple of things to rearrange and reconfigure - Hence why I'm going through the pinouts first.
  3. Still in the going through documentation phase here, I noticed the pinouts show a different polarity for the cam and crank sensors than is expected for the S2000/OBD2B wiring. Can someone confirm this is a misprint on the Link side, or something I need to be aware of? P is trigger and M is ground, in Honda VR sensor lingo:
  4. Thanks. Yeah, I'm going to step into it most likely. My temporary engine is going in soon and it's jdm so there is no CKF. Plan is to get up and running with the distributor so I can get up and running. Only item I am missing right now for this phase is a CAN-Lambda but I'm kind of holding out for a brand new MoTeC LTC that's slated for the scrap pile at work. For step 2 I will need to build a new ecu side loom or rework my current OBD2B one a bit to add in the extra features. Step 3 will be the rebuilt engine going back in. At this point I can decide what I want to use to trigger. Two channel Honed kit would be the easy button, it can be readily subbed in for the distributor since all of the connections needed are already there in the disto plug. CKF will aslo be present (2-pin B-series VR style), only a pin move at the ecu side should be necessary to get it working. Mostly I've just been looking for someone who has used the CKF successfully (or not and can explain), as I've only ever heard anecdotally that it won't, but haven't ever had the opportunity to try it myself and understand why. I love this stuff.... should be fun!
  5. Hi guys. Long time listener, first time caller - on this forum at least. thought this would be a good thread to jump into since I see @Grant_Honed has visibility too. I’m working toward running an S2000x on my ‘00 “EK” w/ b-series. Ecu is acquired and I’m planning the details. Has anyone successfully used the oe Honda CKF with the G4X for crank position? I know, anecdotally, that other ecus don’t do so well with it. My preference would be to run with the crank position from the crank and use the Honed Home sensor kit at the cam. I can make it plug and play with my engine loom too. If not, I could do the full trigger kit and call it a day too.
