  1. Thanks for pointing this out Adam. I'll question my tuner about it.
  2. Hi Adam Thanks for your reply. I did see these graphs and wondered what was going on there, I will question my tuner about it. However I think I may have found the root cause of the problem. As mentioned above the injectors I am using are Genuine Bosch 1650cc part number 0280158333. They were brand new and flow matched when I bought them but I don't have any data from the supplier unfortunately. From what I can see, my tuner has used the incorrect numbers for Injector Flow Rate, Dead Times and possibly Short Pulse Width Adder. The flow rate should be 1462cc/min @ 3bar. The Injector Dead Times are also incorrect (see below image). I suspect he based all of these numbers from Injector Dynamics 1700 injectors which are rated to 1725cc/min @3bar. If this is the case, then would it mean that he would have had to scale the fuel tables up to compensate for the injectors having less flow rate than the engine expects? Does this mean he will have to re-tune the whole map again with the correct numbers? Do you have the Short Pulse Width Adder data for these injectors or know where/how I can get it? Would I need to get them flow tested again to get accurate numbers?
  3. Thanks for the reply mate. I'll have a look into it and ask my tuner what the purpose of this table is actually for.
  4. Hi all I've just had my car tuned (SR20DET S13 non VCT) but it has an issue with the acceleration enrichment (I think). On a stab of the throttle the car hesitates before revving/accelerating. This happens from idle through to at least 3000rpm when driving (I can't really feel it at higher RPM on the road). My tuner said he tried everything to get it to respond better by adjusting the accel and warm up enrichment but with no success. He has put it down to the injectors not being able to open quick enough with sharp throttle changes in low RPM range. They are new genuine Bosch 1650cc injectors (0280158333) and were flow matched when purchased. He has suggested changing the injectors to an ID1300 but before I spend $1500 for a new set I would like to make sure this is the issue and not a software setting or problem in the map. Can someone please have a look at the map and the log file I've attached to see if there's anything that would be obviously wrong with the setup? I apologise for the log file being 20mins long but it is a recording of the cold start right up to operating temperature when the thermo fan turning on and off a couple times. I've also attached a couple screen shots showing what's happening with the AFR when this "flat spot" occurs. The logging was done from idle in neutral - no driving. The car also has the Link Can-Lambda which is mounted just before the CAT (approx 1.3m from the turbo). The intake manifold is a greddy copy but injectors are mounted in the same location as OEM and a standard throttle body is fitted. The car has a flex tune but is currently running on E85 only. If you need any further information just let me know and I'll get on it straight away. Any help or additional information would be greatly appreciated. Regards Rob.
