  1. well, been measuring. turns out the switch was an old style one but with 3 wires. 1 wire with different voltages depending on how you use the switch. that wire is connected to DI7 at the ecu. it needs a pullup to work so had to switch it to TEMP3 to allow for the ecu to read the voltages.

DI10 turns out to be the on/off switch.

    everything working now. thanks!

You're going to need to figure out how your cruise switches actually work and connect all required wires correctly.

With DI7 set to on and set speed and being held on it is constantly reducing your set speed hence the slowing down.

This is visible by looking at your "Cruise Set Speed" in the log

thats what i was afraid of. i guess i will remove the switch and measure the outputs directly. could be the switch is faulty. thanks

  3. Hi guys,

been trying to get cruise control working on this WRX104X plugin. It is installed in a forester so the body side pinouts do not match up with an impreza. engine side is just the same. I have been measuring wiring at the ECU and the only wire that seems to be connected to the OEM cruise switch is DI7. I think this is all i need so i can assign it to Cruise SwA to activate cruise and to set a speed.

Now when i try this, the set cruise speed just gradually decreases along with the actual speed after pressing the switch and letting go of the throttle as seen in the log attached.

    what am i missing?

    thanks!

A V6 crank wheel wouldnt work, but the triggerscope shows you already have the correct V10/EJ25 crank trigger wheel, however it is showing on trigger 2 instead of trigger 1.  Swap the immobaliser DIP switches on the adapter board to opposite option will swap trig 1 with trig 2.

    Change trigger mode to EJ25.

Do a new scope with those changes.

wow, you are right. i even checked it with a camera to confirm, i must have been so sleepy.

changed settings to v10 and got rpm but no good scope at the cam sensor. changed polarity on that and all seems good. thanks guys!

  5. hi all,

installed a WRX V5-6 G4X plugin to this car. i cant seem to get an RPM reading in pclink. the setup of the car is a V6 reluctor sensor with v6 crank trigger wheel combined with the V10 Hall effect cam sensors. i wired the signal wire of the original reluctor cam sensor to the LH cam sensor, and the signal wire of the RH sensor to DI2.  wired +12v and sensor ground to the hall sensors. this should be able to work with the right setup?

i guess a final option is to swap the V6 crank triggerwheel over for a V10 wheel, but i first want to try it this way.

attached trigger scope, map and log.

  6. hi guys,

    i have a 2006 forester 2.5XT in my workshop wich i installed a WRX104X. full map completed a while ago with 400hp.

now i am trying to get the cruise control to work. the car has an original 3 wire subaru switch, and on the original ecu it worked.

i have measured the 3 wires to all ecu pins and only DI10 seems connected so maybe i need to rewire the other 2 wires.

i can toggle the cruise on and off through DI10 input, but i cant seem to measure any voltage changes at the other 2 pins when operating the switch.

do you guys have any experience with this?

    thanks!

The dashpot is still too high, but it looks like the e-throttle isn't following your commanded position very quickly - you likely need more integral value on the E-throttle PID.

Okay, will try tomorrow, its 22:25 here. Thanks for your reply and time!

I would zero your dashpot offset (currently set to 1%).  When it's idling at the correct RPM it's only at 2.5% throttle at the end and the dashpot is adding 1% making it hang high.  Your AC active is adding .5% - is that actually required to keep it idling properly when the ac is engaged?  What happens if you put idle control in closed loop?

thanks for the reply! its inbetween gear shifts, not at idle. closed loop idle was not dialed in enough so i put it on open to fine tune it, will close it later on.

  9. hi all,

been trying to get the car to activate cyclic idle for show purposes. i have a rotary switch mounted to an volt 2 so i can activate ALS and idle.

when i activate it, i can use the AL ISC override to up the rpm to about 3000rpm. cyclic idle is set at 1800 rpm. when i use the cyclic ISC override the engine does not respond and almost dies.

    what am i overlooking?

    thanks in advance!

  10. hi guys,

i want to wire the IAT sensor to the spare an temp 3 pin in the ecu loom. (see attached pinout).

i also have the extension loom connected to one of the extension ports.

my question is, when i select the channel for the IAT in the software, i only see one AN temp 3 channel.

how do i know which one this is?

if my idea wont work, i can always wire the IAT to the extension loom, just curious to save some pins for later sensor wiring.

    thanks!
