  1. Hi, the E-throttle is working now. Thanks so much for let me know I have to fill in the Target map.  The ic7 is connected the can wires already and still cannot connect yet. I think I need some time to try to understand your opinion.

Your wire can be anything that the person that did you wiring dream up. Right now you have your VVT Solenoids on Aux 5-8. Completely fine if that's how its wired. I feel like you would have had DBW errors if you had them mixed up. You have no DBW errors, its just targeting zero.

" I alway think the TPS will follow the signal of APS" That's one of the beauties of DBW, and actually, a 1:1 of APS to TPS is realllllly aggressive/sensitive. The table I sent has it set up to ramp in after 50%. You can do some cool stuff with it with 3D and 4D tables.

Haltech locks their CAN stuff down and barely publishes anything. You tell the IC7 what to expect in the ICC program (just select linkECU). Then you tell the link where to broadcast it. The 1400 is in decimal form, in hex it should be 0x578. Do you at least have it wired up yet?

For the VVT, set your PWM frequency to 250Hz on all camshafts, then with the engine warmed up and at fast idle about 2000RPM, set the VVT cam angle test to "Calibrate", this will automatically populate the tooth count and tooth offset tables and it should turn itself back to off after a few seconds if successful.  Your VVT should then work.  Quite often with subarus you will find the cam control quite different on each side of the engine, if you dont get good control you will have to change the VVT "PID setup" setting to custom and optimise each bank independently.  Our WRX11 base map vvt settings should be a pretty good starting point for an EJ207.

Hi Adamw, I did it tonight and they should be fine now. I use the v11 base map to set the vvt. Thank you very much.

  2. Hi, thanks for your reply. My throttle is GRB one, and I will try the target map later. I alway think the TPS will follow the signal of APS. I cannot find any can ID for the haltech ic7 from the beginning, is it normally is 1400 id? Thanks for your help.

And I find the VVTI signal is error?

I have find out the wiring from internet, is it correct?

  3. Good morning,I have a Subaru E—Throttle not working.I have calculate the TPS and APS. but i dont know what i have missed to

do . please let me know what wrong in the ecu setting. thanks alot.

Also I don't know how to connect the Haltech IC7 dash display. any idea please.

  4.  Hi Adamw, sorry for reply you late. I have disconnect the hose of actuator. But still the same. I always think this is the machincal problem not from ecu. But someone always say is from ecu. So that why I need the confirmation by professional. Thanks for let me know.

  5. Hi Adamw, I mean I set the rpm cut and stored into ecu before I go to test run, normally is the car can Rev to 7000rpm. And I saved the setting file to you is after the test run. Then you show me the picture is 5000rpm cut. So why I felt strange.

  6. Hi Adamw, the rpm cut is switched off when I connect the ecu before the test run, then i set rpm cut to 7000rpm before i go out for the test, then I record the log when the car is running.  Then I saved the file before I switch off the engine. So that mean the data cannot store into the ecu so the rpm cut still on. Do you have this problem before?

  7. Really?  I changed to 7000rpm from 30 degree to 60, then 7500rrpm after that. And I turn off all the function like overrun fuel cut, IAT correction . I have stored to ecu several times. Also I have checked the GP rpm limit 1&2, they are off. So, is it really a rpm fuel cut only? I have another Wrx have a problem like that, like a ignition cut when the boost around in positive. I turned on the map cut and change the number to 300. The cau gone but still have boost drop much when hit 245 MGP. I will send the file and the log later on G4+ later.

On the ecu side In the CAN stream you setup the razor pdm at ID 500 sit it knows what to send receive etc…

In the PDM software in the CAN setup you select CAN function with the same ID you used in the ecu(500). This is how the ecu and PDM talk to each other. Hopefully this makes sense I’m trying to dumb it down as simple as possible.

Thanks for your reply, I did the setup of the pdm and the ecu of the ID500. I have set can2 and the ecu can find out the pdm as well. I put the engine fan control in can Aux2 and set to 20degree to switch on the fan but nothing happen. So do I still miss any setting on it? I still have few question about do I need to turn the PDM termination to on or keep it off also I will put the heltech ic7 display later. Do I need to set the stream frame from the ecu? Thanks for advance

  9. I have a question about im using the can aux output 1 for the fuel pump. I did the can setup with PDM. But how the pdm know about the aux output from the ecu? Please let me know any procedure I have to do. Thanks alot.

Are you maybe trying to enable it when the engine is running maybe?  If that's not it you will have to attach your map or give us a picture or something of what you are talking about.

Hi, thanks for reply. I would like to enable the knock mode during the engine is running but it cannot enable. I will take the phot when the car is here later. But I try to open the saved map I can choose the ig trim, fuel... so I will try to open the saved map and reconnect the ecu then try again.

Missing tooth mode will be difficult to make work reliably with the 3 cam teeth.  You would need to use the cam window sync method which is an advanced topic for experienced users.  There is no point changing to missing tooth mode, it will give no difference to the 3SGE trigger mode.

I have a protected map from the monsoon and it is working on this 3sge. But i don't know what's inside. I read the cam window from the help file and i tried but not working, may be something wrong for the setting.

If the engine has an idle valve then you must have a MAP sensor, if using TPS only the ecu has no way to measure or compensate for the variable air mass that is flowing into the manifold through the idle valve.  This is unlikely your issue causing 2 cylinders to be dead, but you still need to get the basic fundamentals right.

Multitooth missing mode works no different that the 3SGE trigger mode, just a different sync count due to 3 teeth on the camshaft.

Can you do a log that shows these trigger errors occurring.

Because the owner need to drive in this Saturday, I shoud get it back in next week, so I can see what happen then i can log the data again. So total teeth is 36, missing 2, gap 1, and syn teeth 3,  For the missing teeth mode?

No, VVT is not needed or used during start up.  The solenoids are disabled.

Why do you have the MAP sensor turned off?

If you are saying you have trigger errors then it would be best to give us a log and scope when the errors are occuring.  There is no sign of trigger issues in your previous log.

Because the map sensor is not using when the car come, also this is NA engine, so I changed the tuningl map axis to TPS. I tried the altezza base map, connected the vacum and cal. Still can not start the engine. Do you know the trigging setting  of the 3sge vvti trigger mode from the base map? I found the altrzza trigger scope should be the same. I would like to try put that number into the muti/missing tooth mode and try. I only know everyone say this ths 36-2 for the crank.

What rpm was the trigger scope taken at?  Just cranking?  Your trigger arming thresholds are seem a bit too low in the 5000 and 1000 rpm zones given that scope.  How did you sync the trigger offset?

Your lambda also doesn't show up in that log at all - is it the Link CAN lambda you have configured in the tune and is it working properly?

Have you done an injector test as well to ensure all injectors are firing when commanded?  Are the plugs all wet?

Hi, the scope taken at idle around 600 rpm, it can not go more rpm. The lamda work normal but show up late. Actually I'm using the atlezza trigger. I tried to use muti/missing  mode 36/2 teeth but engine won't start. Actually i have a protected map the car run normal when i stored into the moonsoon. So the wiring and the engine part probably is no problem. So i think it should be the trigger setting wrong...

It all looks happy in the log.  The ecu is not preventing any cylinders from running from what I can see.

You will need to connect your MAP sensor and turn it on in the software.  Have you checked base timing? Have you checked fuel pressure?

This log is the happy log because it have no trigger error when the engine is running but only around 10 second. It have pop sound from intake, base timing checked but the better timing for idle is 0 degree, no idle when more ignition timing and more loading. I'm thinking abot the vvti can effect starting engine or not?
