  1. Hi Jose,

I am only familiar with MoTeC dashes sorry, I have set up plenty of them.

Looking at that CAN TEMPLATE if that is for the WIDEBAND it is setup for voltage output,

Minimum and maximum result is 0 and 5 volts, result unit is VOLTS.

Once again I don't know how this dash works, but to me it would be a 0 to 5 volt and result unit would be AFR, I would assume.

Also the data sent to the dash have you selected in the CAN setup in the ECU software for the AN VOLT that you have setup for WB to be transmitted to the dash or WIDEBAND 1.

    Regards

    Dave.

Dave thank for yout help... I am responding to your reply and suggestions with out knowing it was you.. :)

I Got this from NGK toda:

    Hello,

    Raw A should be 0 volts and = 9AFR

Raw B should be 5 volts and = 16 AFR

    Best Regards,

  2. Jose,

Have you selected the AN volt input that the NGK WB input is setup on or have you selected WIDEBAND 1 as the data source for the dash to receive.

Can you post a screen shot of your CAN BUS settings.

    Regards

    Dave.

I will post a screen shot of my CAn BUS tomorrow. I really don't know how to answer your question Dave... In my dash software I selected the input that the NGK wideband is connected to the Vipec...

  3. Hi Jose,

what is your issue exactly, are you trying to get the data from your NGK AFX through CAN BUS to your IQ3 DASH.

    Regards

    Dave.

Yes that is exactly what I am trying to do...all my other sensors are getting display correctly in my dash through CAN BUS.

The dash is not showing the AFR from the Vipec correctly. The Vipec and NGk wideband are in sink they both reading the same .. Is like the AFR info send from the Vipec to the racepack dash display is getting change somehow...

  4. Maybe there is some sort of filtering or issue with the dash? The lambda problem is probably to do with the fact that it is now sent as Lambda instead of AFR. You will need to correct the value in the dash which is usually not a problem.

I am have the same problem with my Racepack dash IQ3 Simon...Can you help me solve this.. I try to email NGK AFX to try to get the correct value with no response from them... I even email Racepack for help... What a nightmare to get this to work properly.... I am using a V88 in my car....

  5. Hi all,

just a quick note to let you all know there is a new VTS release available for download for V series ECU's.

    It is VTS VER 4.10.2

    Regards

    Dave.

I have the VTS 4.9.9 1784 in my V88 running a Rotary turbo engine.. Do you recommend to do the update to VTS Ver 4.10.2.

What was fix or change in the updated?

    8-)

    Thanks in advance

Wow what great day of tuning ...

Finally got Dave from http://www.dtechmotorsport.com to remote tune my car.. Boy what a difference.. It feels 1000 time better.. I seen many tunes and tuner in my 15 years around cars and let me tell you Dave has some mad skills when it comes to the Vipec V88.. I watch him work around the Vipec software and do thing with it that blew my mind.. This ECU is great piece of hardware if you know how to work with it...

This tune time today we used to setup every little thing correctly in the Vipec software.. From target AFR to injectors dead time to trail and leading to coils dwell time.. He also setup some failsafe to protect the engine... The EV fuel map looks great...

Next week we are going to finish the tune but before I need to get some information for Dave on my trigger wheel and connect my 4 port boost solenoid to the Vipec for better boost control and some more failsafe options...

I will also like to thanks Eric from Rotary Werks for all his help and dyno time in his shop.. He has always been their for my car..

More to come.. ....I am falling in love with my car...:) Thanks Dave again for your time and tune...

I will be able to sort you out.

    10-18-2014:

Quick update .. Got a new wideband NGK with NTK sensor ... I think is much easier to get this one to work than my FJO with the ViPec and be on the safe side( this wideband is also recommended by ViPec)....

I like to thanks Dave from protuning from Australia (Pro Tuning Cairns) he has been very helpful answering all my question about my V88 and problem solving.... He also took the time to check my PCL file and make sure everything was setup correctly according to my wire install pin out of my V88....

He has giving more of his time and attention that most tuners that live here in the US .. By the way he doesn't even tune Rotarys engine and still gave me a helping hand with my project ..

Will report back after the NGK wideband install...

  9. I gave the instructions to my tuner and still no WB reading.. No target AFR..

Can you please send me more lames term how to do this... This is the first time he work with a Vi-Pec..

Thank you.. I wish I had the knowledge to this my self.. Everybody is so lazy to learn a new system down here..

Wow not even paying money they want to learn... I try calling 3 different tuner and no luck getting my fail safe working.

  10. If none of the preconfigured calibrations from other types of widebands match, configure your own with one of the extra CAL Tables.

EG, if you're using the widebands analogue output #2 wire with the default 0.5-4.5V setting, you could set the Vipec's Analogue input to Lambda1, then select Cal4 as the calibration. Go to Cal4 and configure as follows:

    Input Value A: 0.5V

    Input Value B: 4.5V

    Output Units: AFR

    Output Value A: 10.0 AFR

    Output Value B: 20.0 AFR

If you have set the output of the FJO to something different, just make the appropriate changes to the CAL

Details are on pages 11 and 12 of the FJO user manual: http://www.fjoracing.com/products/WBAFR ... ev%20F.pdf

    Thank you sir..

    Will do...

    Flexfuel is working good.

  11. I did search with no luck...

I finally have my V88 working in my car with all the sensor reading correctly except my FJO wideband and my continental flex fuel sensor.

I see you have a few choices in the software but not the one I have install.. Can you please help me out to set the FJO to my ECU.. The choice the come close but way off is the Autronic wb.. No change when I used the NGK choice...

I need my wideband to work to have my target AFR option working.. In the flexfuel sensor case you only have one choice and not the continental ( Haltech GM type flexfuel sensor) .. I have put the resistor in the lines like you have in your instructions but no cigar...

    Thank in advance...

  12. I search the ViPEC forums and Youtube on the web to look up some instructional and overview video on the ViPEC V88 with no success… I did find one with Ray Hall video archive from 2007.. Very old software and no audio...

Here is a example from the LINK ECU that I found in Youtube……

This will make the tuning and setup process for costumers that have no real tuners available in their area a lot easier…

I think is better to see the instruction visually like in a short video than read it in a instruction book... At least the important stuff that people will have the most problems.. :)

Maybe you guys here in the forums can point me in the right direction…
