  1. Hi Scott, Thanks for the feed back. If the problem was with the ECU I assume it would be in the Link piggy back ECU. If so what what are the costs involved in sending it back to you guys for full testing and what would be the turn around time be?? Nicky
  2. Hi again, I took the car for a tune today and when it came to increasing the boost , currently 5 psi,  no matter what they tried they could not get it to increase. They thought they found a couple of things, tried a new boost solenoid and apparently had a signal going back into the Link ECU but still could not increase the boost. In the end as a work around they fitted a manual boost controller (GFB) which seems to be doing the job( now running 7psi). I would be happier if was being controlled by the ECU and was wondering if you guys had any idea what might be the cause of this and if you have heard of this before. The tuner seems to think it is the LInk ECU not sending the the signal out of the ECU. Does any of this make sense???
  3. Thanks for all your help Scott. I am in W.A. and have found someone that has a hand controller which is good news. Nicky
  4. Scott, The numbers on the chip below where it says TT2AVO are 080300. I am sorry but I dont know enough to tell you if the car runs a wastefire ignition set up. I am guesing though that whether it is a turbolink or turbolink2 it still needs a hand controller to tune it and a PC cant be used. Nicky
  5. Hi Scott, Thanks for your prompt reply. I did get a manual with the documentation when I got the car but on the front it just says "Turbolink" not "Turbo2Link" like the link you supplied. Is it definately the one you said. I guess the picture I supplied would tell you anyway. I was told by the seller that it was the original documentation he supplied so seems strange. Â Thanks Â
  6. Hi, I recently bought a 1989 NA6 MX5 with a AVO stage 1 turbo kit installed. On a recent dyno run I was advised it was runnung very lean and requires a tune. The tuner is not sure about whether he can connect to this ecu and do the tuning. The outer casing is white with "Turbolink" written on a green background. I am hoping someone can help me identify this unit and tell me : 1)  If it can be connected to by a PC or does it need a hand controller as I have read about on this forum. 2) Any more info you think would be helpfull about this unit. Thanks Â
