  1. Hi I've sent you my layout also I can seem to bring up run time values I have just a blank box when I click on them I'm trying to sort out an issue with the ac making the car lean when driving but every now and then I think it's the fan coming in but can't check without the run time tab I tried a uninstall and reinstall o latest software but still the same

  2. hi since a few updates ago the pclink cannot load my last layout whenever I start pc link and it tries to load my map it states in a red pop up box 'XML document must have top level element' then below 'Line 0' if I then load my layout manually it loads up and works as it should but its very annoying and it also wont let me edit maps offline either all the maps just stay greyed out. What do I need to do to rectify this, my layout has quite a few pages and took me ages to do

  3. Hi since the latest software I can np longer use the closed loop lambda using the target afr table as the target for the closed loop adjustment I only get stoich and stoitch wideband is there no way to bring this back

  4. hi ive been trying to follow these instructions for setting the cel to flash when indicating knock, but setting virtual aux to cel doesnt give you any switch settings nor does setting an aux output to cel give you any settings to play with

what am i doing wrong here?

    regards

    Hi Ryan,

You can do this quite simply with the functionality that the G4 has.

First you set a Virtual Auxiliary to CEL.

Then you set the Auxiliary that runs your CEL to:

SW Cond 1 : Aux Virtual Value (1 if you used Virtual Aux1)

SW Cond 2: Knock > Value (What ever knock level you want it to trigger on).

Switch Logic: Cond 1 or 2.

This will mean your CEL will operate just as before, and also when knock goes over your set level. It will not store a fault code though.

If you wanted to get really tricky, set a GP Output to Knock level, feed it back into a spare An Volt. When this goes to ground it will set off the CEL and store a fault code to the AnV you selected!

    Hope that helps.

  5. Firstly I assume an v6 is wired up to one of the lc1s output wires either the yellow or brown next you need to select lc1 from the wideband profiles if that is all done and it's still not working you need to open up the lc1 programmer (using the black little connector) and see what your voltages are for maximum and minimum afr you then need to create a profile for the wideband using one of the cal tables using these voltages and set an6 to read that cal table

I had to muck around with it a bit as it was set up differently for the power fc I had on before but now works spot on

  6. hi i know the coil pack dwell times for the rb26dett are 1.7 ms however the link uses a more complex table for dwell times, i was wondering if any tuners would be especially kind and send m,e the dwell times for the splitfires or do you just use the standard settings, at the mo i have 1.7 across the whole table which is obviously not correct but it runs fine, i would prefer it to be correct though also i still cant seem to start a new post without it showing n text please sort this forum out its the only one i use that does it!

  7. actually steve youve helped me out there i can run the knock using two tables instead of six as the rb26 only has two knock sensors which should free up a few tables

its still poor though that you cant use everything the ecu can do at once

    thanks again

  8. but its crazy you cant run motorsport functions and have different boost levels or have multiple fuel maps its kind of pointless spending the money on an ecu that can do all this but at different times but not together

i dont even want to use anti lag etc but just want my fueling to be correct and have 3 boost settings off 1 and 2 and it wont let me

  9. instead of starting my own wish list i also have this problem but have run out of tables on the link g4 xtreme i need to use 4d fuel but due to other tables active i cant use this table i would have thought a high end ecu such as this would have been able to use all the tables avaliable i dont even have motorsport functions enabled yet!

off the top of my head i have

dwell, iat correction, fuel1,fuel2, afr target, boost 1,2and 3, ignition1, then the tables for the a/c fan, idle etc

  10. hi i have setup my fueling so 3rd is 11.4 to 11.8 afr but if i log 1st gear pulls it registers as 13.4 2nd gear registers as 12.4 is this a problem? i understand that the engine is reving quicker and there is more load on the engine in 1st but the mgp stays roughly the same (within a few points) shall i run into the 10's in 3rd to richen up 1st or is there a better way if this is a problem?

  11. Thanks so much ross that is awesome my address is [email protected] I was just doing the mgp map as well I will switch back to tps to be honest it felt more responsive than mgp vs rpm One other thing though where do you take the map sensor reading from I've used the balance tube thing on the inlet the other end to the for take off it was used for factory boost Pressure sensor but I've binned this

  12. one more bit of advice is needed if you would be so kind! i assume the tps overlay is needed for different gears as you can hit the same mgp with different throttle positions due to being in the different gears, so my question is this which is the best gear to do it in? if i was to use third is it best to use very light throttle to get the smallest opening of the throttle as poss then use the tps overlay to correct up and down when using the other gears to be honest i found tps with mgp overlay easier to understand!
