Guest |797|
Does anyone have a table for the factory Toyota 3SGTE ECT ohm values? When hot, the factory temp gauge (which is wired directly into the factory sending unit) is showing about half way up the scale, but the Vi-pec ECU is showing over 100 C. I believe the ECU is trying to shut the engine down because it thinks it's too hot. I am using the setting for the standard Bosch sending unit. I believe I will need to use a table to get the temp right, all I need is the ohm values. Thanks, Tim
rayhall
Tim, We have plugin ECU for the Rev1 and Rev2 Celica/MR2 cars and they have no problems with the ECT reading correctly. The selection used in the software is STD Bosch NTC. If your car is different, then it must have a pullup resistor inside the dash. The Vipec also has a pullup on the temp inputs. If there are two pullups, then both the Vipec and the dash will read wrong.
