Josh Burt
Engine is a 1998 M3 S52, comes stock with some sort of Bosch injector plug knock sensors. I have tried all of the different frequencies, as soon as I get into boost the knock value maxes or comes close to maxing out on all cylinders with a gain of 1. I put in a gain of .5 and when I get into boost the knock signal goes to about 500. I threw an extra 4deg at cyl 1 and the signal looks exactly the same. I am wondering if I have the wrong sensor or what.
Josh Burt
I pulled the intake and took a closer look, I was mistaken. It turns out my car has Siemens knock sensors. I have tuned vehicles with Motec using a Bosch 0 261 231 148 sensor which has a wide spectrum of frequency range. I would think this would work on a Link, but who knows. Josh Burt
Looking at the datasheet for the Bosch Sensor mentioned above, the picture of the sensor shows part# 0 261 231 148, the datasheet and Bosch's website lists it as 0 261 231
