Johann
How do I wire a Volvo 850 coil to a linkplus G2? And do I need the supressor? A wiring diagram of the stock volvo connection can be found here, http://www.swededemon.com/images/SDM/shots/engine/ecudiagram.jpg
ashesman
You most definitely will need a supressor on the coil positive terminal. From the wiring diagram it looks like you have it all sorted anyway. Connect the yellow wire to the G2's Ign1 channel. Connect the supressor to the red wire and ground as close as possible to the coil. Johann
You wanted to inform that I have the car up and running. Volvo 850 2.5 ltr 5 cylinder with throttle bodies. Car is running like a charm, engine responds to ECU changes very well. Overall I'm impressed. The one thing missing, closed loop lambda control preferable from a wideband. (LC-1 in this case.)
