alan lee Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 can anyone help, I am in the prosses of converting my jag xjs v12 to a link computer. I have modifyed the jag disy to take a toyota stile pickup. Problem, At cranking speed there is not enough signel from the toyota pickup due to the slow crank speed of the motor to signel the link to fire ignition. By turning the disy by hand spark is produced, I am using mitsy waste spark coils. any idears Quote
ashesman Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Toyota pickups are notoriously bad for low amplitude at crank. The best option would be to send the ECU in to get it modified to work with low signal amplitude. Only other option is to change to a sensor that produces higher amplitude. Also make sure your reluctor is wired with correct polarity.
