Frm_Zero7d9
Hello! 👋🏾 What port do I connect the CANJST cable to? the CAN2/OBD port on the PCM or the CAN1/RS232 port? Also, regarding the “ignition” wire. Can I simply use ANY key on ignition source to splice into or does it have to be a particular ignition source? (pictures for illustration) thank you! 🙂
Vaughan
Either CAN 1 or CAN 2 works, you just to need to set it up on the matching CAN bus in the ECU. Probably best to use the same power supply as the ECU gets, this comes in on pin B5 or B6 for the WRX104X based on the help manual.
Frm_Zero7d9
Thanks for the reply Vaughan! This helps clear up some confusion. So just to be clear, I am able to supply power to the CANJST by connecting/splicing the CANJST ignition wire (red) to the ECU loom pin B5/B6 (as referenced in the pinout on the help manual and start up instructions)? Thanks,
