Guest |370|
Hi, I'm helping my friend to install V44 ECU to a Corvette and trying to get the idle control working as expected. The ECU is configured to use the GM stepper system ( 4-wire ) and I can open and close the port in open loop mode by entering different values ( 20 is closed, 380-390 completely open ). The problem in closed loop mode is that if I enter the target idle ( 900 rpm ) the ECU is not adjusting the stepper to reach that value. I've gone through the manual and helpscreens behind F1, but still haven't found enough info to configure this. Any ideas ? I can get the engine running 900 rpm manually adjusting the values, but if something starts to load the engine the rpm collapses or even dies. The engine is a fresh rebuild, quit cammy actually, so the idle needs to be quit high. br, Pasi
rayhall
I would like to see your map. Can you email it to me [email protected] As the engine has big cams you may need to open the throttle butterfly a little so the idle valve has plenty of control range. Example if 70% duty is need to maintain the 900 rpm idle then there is only 30% of the valve control to correct changes in load. Ray.
