Guest |392|
Hi, spoke with Cam about a v88 purchase, but forgot to ask about what the ViPEC does for coils. With the use of the Tec3, I have their DFU with three 2 post coils for my 6cyl. How does ViPEC address this? Can't wait to get this great ECU set up !!! rayhall
Do you know if the Tec3 coils have internal igniters. If they do have, the ignition outputs on the Vipec will drive them directly. If they do not, then external igniters or a CDI would be needed. Ray.
Guest |392|
Thank you Ray. I guess I need to find out somehow if the Electramotive DFU coil packs have igniters now... Another question please: I was going thru the tuning software that I downloaded, and tried to find where/if the settings could be changed from kpa to -inHg /+psi (Relative) and Celsius to Fahrenheit ? Thanks again for your help!!
rayhall
There is no option to select imperial. This is a small program I wrote that will do the conversions for you. Have it running when using the Vipec software. Download from here http://www.vi-pec.com/software/MetricCalc.exe This is what it looks like... So, I guess this igniter pack off the Nissan RB26/300ZX would work then? ~click
rayhall
Yes you could use this igniter. Ray.
