Guest |166|
firs off my car is a 1996 V2 Subaru EJ20G, with Plugin ViPEC. So the other day I had a check engine light come on. My fault. I started my car with my MAF unplugged. I went to check it out. And I can not connect to my ECU. So I try a different computer. Still no communication Next I check the cable. Everything looks good… So I pull the cover off my ECU to make sure the cable has not somehow come unplugged from the ECU. Looks good. I put a little pressure on the PCB right where the USB cable connects. And the Laptop connects. I let go and it looses the connection. I looked at the PCB and cant see any cold solder joints or anything. But something is defiantly wrong. Has anyone had any problem with the USB connector where it attaches to the PCB? Car still runs 100% awesome, and i was able to get the check engine light out. Any help would be appreciated.
rayhall
The MAF is not used by the ECU. It may be using some of the wires for the air temp sensor, but has nothing to do with the USB. I would contact your dealer, so we are get this fixed. Ray.
Guest |166|
it uses AN2 for the intake air temp. when i unpluged it, it set a light for AN2 voltage out of range or something like that. this has nothing to do with the MAF i know it doesnt use the MAF. i am having a connection problem. my ECU will not communicate through the USB cable. i will go to my dealer this weekend...
