Hello all ,

When I click on the mixture table , a dialouge box opens up showing a couple parameters that need to be set , has anyone started using this ? what how do i set up the table and how is it used ? a step by step discription would be nice :)

Marcel,

1. Go to Logging -> Setup PC Logging -> Analog inputs.

2. Add your wideband input to the list of logged parameters.

3. Remove and other wideband that is selected to be logged.

4. Click Ok.

5. Press F8 to start the PC logger.

6. Run the engine though the cells in the fuel table you want to tune.

7. Press F8 to stop the PC logger.

8. Open the mixture table page.

9. Right click on the mixture map and select Properties.

10. Set the RPM source as Engine Speed.

11. Set the source as MAP or MGP

12. Set the Widband source as the Volt input of your wideband signal

13. Do not bother with the filters for now, and clock Ok.

14. Right click on the Mixture map and select Update Mixture map.

The mixture table will now have colored cells with the following information

ACT = Actual recorded air fuel ratio.

TRG = Target air fuel ratio

SMP = Number of samples. How many times the air fuel ratio was recorded for this cell

ERR = The error amount.

There are ten colors that can be displayed in the cells. These show the error amount.

Red = 4 or more air fuel ratios out

Green = No error, the tune is correct.

There are 8 other colors between the red and the green.

15. Double click on each cell to tune the matching fuel table cell.

Ray.

Thank you Ray :D How does this tuning method compare to the math key? also as the error amount increases , i assume i'd have to continue logging and changing until it goes to nil / green ?

Marcel,

The mixture map uses the same math as the the math key. If you run the mixture table twice the tune will be within 1% providing you have the air temp correction table correct.

Well I have the air temperature table you sent me , so i guess it should work fine.

The value shown in ACT, is that number an average of all the samples taken for a given cell? so more accurate ACT value with alot of samples?

On a side note, does autotune turn of tuning when engine braking?

I would need to ask the programmer just what logic was used, but I would think the ACT would be the average of the recorded air fuel ratios based on the filler settings. There should be very little difference in the air fuel ratios for the same cell, when you filter out acceleration enrichment.

Autotune/Quicktune tunes the engine under engine breaking. Using engine breaking down a long hill is a good way to tune very light load cells on the road.

I have always gotten this error when using update or just using the mixture map feature.

"Col adress out of bounds"

What is this? What influence has it on the mixture map? Will the show'n cells still be accurate?

I was'nt sure, so just tested:

Ignition ON, I connect to ECU, open my log file, go to mixture map tap, checked in properties (RPM source = Engine speed, MGP source = MAP, Wideband = AN4 wideband), click OK to that, and then i get the "Col adress out of bound", i then try and exit the program, open up again, do the same as above but this time did not check properties, just clicked "update" and its the same problem.

What could this be?

I use windows 7 32bit if that has anything to do with the matter.

I'm using this function without problems on win7 32bit.

Only thing that have made troble for me is when the fuel table and the target afr table have been set up with diffrent load axis parameter. Both must be set to either mgp or map.
