Guest |615| Posted June 6, 2010 Report Share Posted June 6, 2010 I have a 2005 WRX Impreza fitted with a V44 plug-in ECU. The problem is that, in a completely arbitrary manner, the car's engine dies completely. This has occured once on full throttle and 4 times on light throttle in the last 5 days. Before that the motor did not do this at all (the ECU has been fitted for the past 3 months). When the engine dies, selecting a lower gear and releasing the clutch does not re-start the motor. The only way to get the engine going again is to switch off the ignition totally and crank the motor with the starter. It then starts first time and behaves completely normally. Any suggestions?
