Guest |383|
What kind of speed sensor can i use on a non driven front wheel? Or can i convert an ABS signal to a speed signal?
rayhall
The digital inputs on the Vipec will accept reluctor or hall effect type sensor signals. The problem with sharing ABS signals, is the ABS computers often have differential inputs. This means the -ve input is floating and not tied to ground, and cannot be shared with the Vipec ECU directly. A differential reluctor interface is needed. This will convert the reluctor signal in to square wave signals to go to the Vipec, and not effect the ABS system. There will be a two channel Vipec reluctor interface available very soon. Ray. Guest |229|
I did this to my own car. Wired one of the front ABS sensors in, works perfect after calibrated. Just remember to use shielded wire for the ABS sensor.

Guest |229|
Had to use a very high number, 2370 to get the ABS sensor to display the same as the std speed sensor.
