Guest |263|
Today I wanted to update to the latest firmware, but the firmware update utility didn't find the ECU (stayed at "Searching for ECU........."). First of all, I have previously updated the firmware without any problem, with the same notebook, ECU, wiring, etc. The only thing that I changed this time was that when installing the latest VTS, I also updated the driver. I could still use VTS without any problem, change the mapping and log to the PC. I tried configuring the COM port to COM1, COM2 and COM9, and still nothing. HELP! rayhall
With the USB cable connected to the ECU, can you see the Vipec USB driver listed in the device manager. Ray.

rayhall
I would recommend you not install new USB driver when installing the software, if you have had no COMMS problems in the past. The later drivers are needed if using Win7. Take this attitude "If it is not broke don't fix it" If you are using XP, then try this old driver http://www.vi-pec.com/software/ViPEC-USB_Drivers_V4_40.zip Ray. Guest |263|
Just got time to try this again. At the end it was all my fault, as I forgot to restart the computer after the first driver update. It worked fine after a computer restart Thanks!
