Joseph Yong
Dear all, is anyone's here can show me how to set my oil pressure input for my Altezza G4+ plug in ECU? Cause currently the oil press is 0 reading.
Scott
Hi Joseph,The Altezza plug-in ECU does not have an oil pressure sensor connected in the factory configuration. Have you added one? If yes, to which channel did you wire it?
Joseph Yong
Ok thanks will add an oil press sensor
Joseph Yong
Hi Scott, I have install the oil temp and oil press sensor may I know which channel I can wire on?
Dave Kriedeman
Hi Joseph,You will need to terminate the oil temp sensor into one of your AN TEMP INPUTS.You will need to terminate the oil pressure sensor into one of your AN VOLT INPUTS.You will need to get the volts or ohms vs TEMP or Pressure data to create CALIBRATION tables for the sensors to work correctly unless they are predefined sensors in the drop down menu.RegardsDave. Joseph Yong
Thanks for the info Dave. Just to confirm, I am using the sensor that I attached. With 2 cable 1 ground and 1 signal , so I just connect the signal cable to the AN volt ( oil press) and AN temp (oil temp) and ground to the engine ground. Scott
Hi Joseph,For the temp sensor, one wire goes to an available AN Temp channel and the other wire goes to the signal/sensor ground pin of the ECU.For the pressure sensor, normally this would have three pins. One to +5V, one to signal/sensor ground, and one to an available AN Volt channel. However your sensor only has two channels, are you sure it is a pressure sensor in which the output signal changes with pressure, or is it a pressure switch? Joseph Yong
Thanks Scott , the oil press and oil temp is working now, the body of the sensor is ground. So that only 2 wire + body ground.
superstockneo
Hey Joseph, I happened to have the same oil pressure sensor as well. I found an old one from my NRG meter. May i know how you have it wired and set up?
Joseph Yong
Raediyusof, that is 2 connector on the sensor one is 12V the other is 5V Signal output should connect to your ECU an volt input the sensor body is ground.
