  1. Hi all,  Yet another trigger related question for a BMW S52B32 motor with a G4X Fury. This is a stock motor with only a single vanos.  We have wired the car with new sensors,  using a Reluctor crank sensor (BMW part number 12141726065)   and a optical hall M50B25  Camshaft sensor (BMW part  12141726590).

    We just cranked the motor over and confirm  TDC offset and its spot on at -325.

    As for trigger signals, Trigger 1 looks good with correct polarity but Trigger 2 signal is wierd. Log of crankis  attached for reference. Runtime values shows Trigger 1 is good but no signal for Trigger 2.

    Config of Trigge1 & 2 ;

    Any help for Trigger 2 is much appreciated.

  2. Adam,  Can you please help confirm my wiring design to wire up a BMW relcutor crankshaft sensor and a hall effect camshaft sensor to a Fury G4X ecu. From the help files, the cam & crank sensor ground is spliced together with the cable shielding to Shield/Gnd. This includes the crankshaft Negative Trigger signal. Is the table below correct?

    I understand that saperating the trigger and knock signals to respective shield/grd is to avoid interference and is good practise.

  3. Hi all,

    I would like to know the purpose/use for the shield/gnd connectors A & B from a Fury.

    As an example, a 2 wire magnetic reluctor from the help files;   states Trig +Ve to Trig 1 (Connector A9) and Trig 1 -Ve goes to sensor ground (A24-25). From the diagram below, the shielded wire ( at one end only) is also crimped together to the sensor ground (A24-25).

    My question, what is shield/gnd ( A7 & B17)? I couldnt find any info in the help files on this. I presume shiled/gnd is for the shielded cable.

    Thanks in advance.

  4. Hi all,

    I need some advice on gear detection. I have configured the stock JDM 6 speed gear ratios in the ecu but when I datalog the gear is always '0'. We are using the front left wheel for speed input.

    I have attached a basemap and a log for reference. I know im missing obvious something here.

    I need the gear detection to configure boost per gear compensation.

    Appreciate any advice , thanks in advance.

  5. Hi , I would like to install a Hitachi (GTR35) coils and run 'direct fire' if possible.   I have a Link G4+ Pnp 5.6.8.3671, Ecu type G4+ Xtreme top board (v1.4) and main board V1.2 .

    Can I rewire AUX IGN 1 - 4 to each coils?

    Currently the Evo 9 Pnp ecu has Aux IGN 3 for fuel pump and  Aux IGN 4 for condensor fans. These will need to be rewired to other available AUX outputs.

  6. Hi all,

    I would like to install a Bosch e throttle body (0 280 750 474) and Bosch pedal sensor (0280755051) .  I have a Link G4+ Pnp 5.6.8.3671, Ecu type G4+ Xtreme top board (v1.4) and main board V1.2 for a Mitsubishi Evo 9. Ecu version also states that there is a 'internal e throttle enabled.

    My question, do I need the e-throttle module for this application? https://linkecu.com/link-ecu-e-throttle-module/

    I have the XSL loom for the additional AN Volt/AUX inputs that is required for both pedal and throttle.

    Thanks in advance

  7. Hi Vaughan , As I  understand, the R32 factory speed input from gearbox drives an old style speedo cable. It is different from the R33 and R34.

    As for wheel speed, I tapped the wheels speed sensor (LR) from the connector to the 4wd Atessa ecu.  I havent been succesfuly to get a good reading.  I dont the signal is strong enough.

    Currently without the cluster, there is no 'vehicle speed'. This is required for the ABS, Atessa and HiCAS. I need to find another way to get vehicle speed. I read online that the R33 speed sensor from the transmission can be installed in the R32 box. I will investigate further on this alternative too.

    Any advice will be much appreciated.

  8. Thanks Michael. My last challenge is trying to get a vehicle speed from the wheel speed sensors.

    I checked the resistance of the wheel speed sensors and they are within spec 1.3-1.4 K ohm. I connected the wheel speed sensor to a digital input and the other to the ECU sensor ground. However,  I cant seem to get a reading. I swapped them over and still no luck. I must be missing something.

  9. Hi Simon,

    I need some advice to enabling the Atessa 4WD with the Fury ecu. I have wired in the Haltech 4wd adapter to boost the TPS signal to the Atessa 4wd ecu .

    With this GTR 32, we have removed the stock cluster and replaced it with a AIM dash.

    I also noticed that I need to run a rpm input signal to the Atessa. I now need to push a rpm output from the Fury to the Atessa 4wd ecu. Can I use the spare  INJ 7 output a 'tacho' signal for this?

    Tacho configuration should look like this ;
