  1. I've sorted this out, I purchased a USB hub and its now working.
  2. G4X (MX5Link), and I assume its powered up as my car runs? I cannot see any blue light here, where is it located?
  3. USB, COM and Wifi do not work
  4. Hi, I have a new laptop running Windows 11 that won't talk to my G4X ECU. I have installed PCLink Ver 7.2.2 Attached are the screenshots showing whats happening. What can I try to get them to connect?

    MXG 1.2 Fuel Reading

No I didn't. I've done that and have now got it reading. Thanks for your help Adam!

    MXG 1.2 Fuel Reading

Ok, I've wired in the resistor and connected it to pin 4 in the 23 pin amp plug. When I go to the Live Measures screen I can't see where the voltage reading is? I've got the old Fuel Level custom sensor that I had setup before. I removed that custom setup but it is still showing on this screen for some reason.

    MXG 1.2 Fuel Reading

So basically instead of the existing fuel level signal wire plugging straight into the back of the 23pin amp plug, i need to insert this pull up resistor and then re-attach to the 23pin amp plug in the same pin location yeah?

    MXG 1.2 Fuel Reading

Thanks, I've had a read through both docs. I need to get a resistor but do I need to buy a binder connector? And does this binder connector plug straight into the mxg dash?

    MXG 1.2 Fuel Reading

This sounds like the issue as I don't know what you mean? Could you explain what I should have done in setting this up properly?

    MXG 1.2 Fuel Reading

Hi, I'm trying to configure my fuel level to my MXG 1.2 dash. I've got 18 litres of fuel in the car yet my dash is reading 52 litres?? I haven't finished measuring the ohms and fuel levels as I wanted to check the accuracy. Anyone know what I've done wrong in the configuration? My vehicle is a 1989 Mazda MX5 with an aftermarket fuel pump.
  11. Thanks, I'll give it another shot.
  12. For some reason I cannot see any channel data coming from my G4X? I've enabled CAN in the ECU. I had a look at the wiring for the CANF plug and it was wrong. I've since corrected that but I'm still not seeing any ECU data coming through in the Live Measures screen. Any problem solving steps to run through? Clearly I've stuffed something up along the way somehow...
  13. Ah, thanks. That was an easy one!
  14. I'm trying to adjust the max rpm down from 18 in the displays to match the range I have set in the Shift Lights and Alarms. I've gone into most settings I can find but to no avail. Any suggestions? I
  15. When I turn the indicator on it goes up to 5008Mv and then it drops down to -13Mv when off. I've since got this setup correctly now by setting the values in the Alarm.
  16. I've tried to get the left indicator working today but to no avail. I put the indicator in pin 10 (Analogue input 4). I set the CH04 to be Digital, close to VBatt, Momentary and created the Alarm. But when I transmit to device nothing registers when I move the indicator stalk to left position?
  17. Ok, thanks. Here is the back of my dash showing the relevant items. So far I've allocated Temp M (engine temperature), G (ground), Beam (high beam), Turn R (right indicator), Turn L (left indicator), Charge (Battery), Brake (hand brake on/off), Fuel M (fuel level). Do I need to grab IGN (Ignition) and ILL+ (parker lights)? Oil Pressure and Water Temperature I can grab from the ECU as I have separate sensors for those wired straight into the G4X.
  18. Thanks Adam. I noticed there's a few Analog GND pins, are all of these required to be grounded? And what is the +Vb output, +Vreference and Low side output pins used for?
  19. Ok, thanks again. I've got that loom wired up now. I noticed that the dash has another loom connector, is this to wire in things like indicators, driving lights etc from the OEM dash loom? Is there a wiring schematic I can refer to for the 2nd MXG plug?
  20. Ok, and CAN1+ (which is a grey wire on the MXG loom) should connect to pinout 6 Grey ECU Rx on the CANF plug or pinout 5 Yellow ECU Tx on the CANF plug as the grey wire on the MXG loom has TX written on it? And similarly for the CAN1- (which is a blue wire on the MXG loom) should connect to pinout 2 Blue N/A on the CANF plug or pinout 6 Grey ECU Rx on the CANF plug as the blue wire on the MXG loom has RX written on it?
  21. I have the G4X plugin ECU and now have the CAN connectors. I can see the pinout for the CANF plug lists 6 wire colours and the wiring loom from the MXG has 5 wires. I assume I just need to solder in the CAN1+ (Grey wire) and the CAN1- (Blue wire) from the MXG into the CANF Plug? What is the RESERVED (yellow) wire for from the MXG? Should I solder that into the CANF plug whilst I'm at it?
  22. Hi, I'm about to install my MXG 1.2 with my MX5Link ECU. I've purchased a GPS09 to enable speed readings but I'm wondering what the GPS cable connects to? Do I need to get a another CAN to PCB connector and a CANF plug so that the GPS will plug into the ECU? As the MXG uses the CAN1 socket on the ECU I assume the GPS will need to connect to the CAN2 socket? Are there any best locations to install the GPS? Cheers, Ben
  23. Ok, thanks for your reply! I'll check out the driveshaft option as I did fit a MX5 ABS sensor but its not currently reading from a BMW hub upgrade...
