Got it resolved, on my old ecu there is a cable connected in with the abs ecu. I had to splice some wires and got it sorted, now the alternator works and fan works!

Thank you so much, ill be going through and pinning over some parts of the x-16 connector todat most likely. Ill update you if it resolved my issue

Ah! Thanks. Then ill check and rewire that, do you happen to know the plug for the fan aswell?

Hi, ive not repinned much except a couple of the connectors in the x-16 connector under the dash. Everything except the engine loom is original nb, so that might be a part of the problem. Ill attach a log and a tune as soon as im home.

Hi! I have recently got my 2000 nb with a swapped in 1.8vvt out of a nbfl working and running, altough i seem to be having issues with the alternator, it might be the battery that is toast but im not sure, so thought to ask here aswell, i am going to change the battery when i can. But when i have had the battery on the charger and put it in the car to start and run it seems to be hovering around 11.5 volts, ill check the battery and see with a new one. But if anyone else has had this problem let me know what you did to fix it. I have a backup alternator for the worst case senario where that is whats toast
