  1. Updated the firmware and smoothed out the ignition table in the idle to light throttle/low speed areas.

The jerking issue has all but gone away :-)

Attached is a screen shot of an area of a log showing both off idle and idle. Still looking odd ... but doesn't seem to be effecting anything.5acb27a373649_Idlestatusissue.thumb.PNG.e240319461f0b7049fe004563bfa8014.PNG

There is another issue which could be quite serious ... something going on with the recording of the "knock" levels. Screen shot attached.

  2. Also ... checked the Idle Status while in 1st gear at about 23kph. Attached is a screen shot of the log and Idle control settings.  Does this look right ?

I am trying to track down why at low speed and light throttle the car can become very "jerky"

  3. Can some give an idea as to why this is happening eg: the knock level is being recorded, then goes to straight lines, 3 in this shot but a little later in the log goes to 1 ... see screen shot

  4. I am using this  https://www.snowperformance.net/Snow-Performance-Safe-Injection-Unit-p/30020.htm

to provide a Fail-Safe for my WMI system. This is what the supplier has said " the green wire will send the 12v signal when the safe injection units alarms - this will be the wire you need to connect to your ECU."

I have connected to DI3 ... how do I setup DI3 so when/if there is a signal from the fail-safe unit the ecu switches to safe fuel and/or ignition maps?

  5. Thanks for clearing that up. What through me was the help section stating that the values would typically be 170 - 280 ... since my wheel sizes are typical and the ABS sensor wheels are factory ... well anyway you get the picture.

  6. I must be missing something ....  according to "help" to calibrate ..... # of Teeth (26) / wheel diameter (0.61m including tyre ) x 31.83 = 1,334.1 ... to me this can't be right as I am getting a speed reading in the "thousands" kph with a calibration of 260 ??????

Car is a z32 300zx with the G4+ Thunder fitted ... factory wheel sensors.

  7. Is there any way to get more sites on the "y" axis ?

Asking because when using "MGP" you values ranging from -100kpa to +100kpa which is fine if the engine only makes 100kpa boost pressure.

Is it ok to remove the -ve values and only display the +ve ones ?

This question is related to using a 4D table which is showing only 11 site available.

  8. The return line from the surge tank is at the top not the bottom so i cant return to the fuel tank. Not to mention most fuel pumps have a internal check valve

This is the way i've setup mine using PWM lift pump.

Thanks for that ... Tried it with pin 85 earthed, still no joy ... I have seen a post of yours on this subject using a SSR p/n SY4086 so will give one of those a try.

  9. Ok this what I have ... 1 x Hella Solid State Relay with pins connected as follows: "87" = Fuel Pump  "86" = ECU aux2   "85" = n/c   "30" = switched 12v   ... the Fuel Pump is earthed to the chassis.

Problem is, as soon as the key is turned on the pump runs ... I want it run only if rpm is 500rpm or higher ... 2 reasons, 1 safety and 2 it is only a "lift" pump supplying a Surge Tank.

I am picking I have the relay pins connected incorrectly but can't find any info that works .... any ideas ???

This is how I have aux 2 configured.

  10. Hi,

Setting up a Surge Tank ... want the lift pump to come on after 500rpm and be run by a solid state relay so there can be some speed adjustment.

Can some one advise on the correct wiring diagram for this?

I have AUX2 set as GP PWM

    Thanks in advance.

  11. Details:

Vehicle = Z32 300zx Twin Turbo with modified VG30DETT engine ... things that may matter are, Heavily ported heads, solid lifter CAMs and larger Throttle Bodies.

No DBW and has an Idle Control System ( not factory ) http://www.nzefi.com/product/2-wire-remote-mount-idle-speed-control-solenoid-kit/

Happens both hot and cold ... there is no air/con etc. The only load on the engine would be the power steering and the factory viscus fan.

Attached is the .pclr and log   ..... stalling event is at 2:40

    Thanks for looking

  12. I have the problem that the engine stalls when coming to a stop, if sitting at idle I can "blip" the throttle and it comes back to idle fine ... only drops under target by 100 - 150 rpm then settles on target no problem. Can you point me in the right direction as to what to look at?
