  1. for me the annoying thing is that i like gear based boost duty.. (to avoid spikes/differing boost in each gear) but there is no Rpm/MAP lockout like in the G4
  2. hi.. you need to take a sensor gnd and 5v to the sw... then the switch works like a potential divider..
  3. after taking 6hours writing it id rather not.. but there are instructions on flyinmaita site
  4. big throttle bypass valve which comes on with the als DI1 input.. and the appropriate settings in the ecu triggered by DI1.. which will lose your speedo input. (boost per gear perhaps?)
  5. pin 6 should be v output.. then you connect your 5v bench supply to the pot at the connection 1 and 5..
  6. i was sure that the Innovate used 0v = 9AF 5V = 16AF
  7. i think unless you have missed something you'll need to set up an overlay table for TPS vs rpm. i first found this trim useful when tuning a supra years ago on AEM that had a large TB. no matter where you tried to retune the cells would always fall into two running areas and cause AFR differences...
  8. scrap that last post... i wrote a defination file for the Dataloglab software...
  9. is there some software to allow this? have tried dataloglab to no avail. please advise. Martin
  10. i had this exact same problem recently with a vauxhall 60-2 using the original sensor we could not rev over 5500rpm. tried 10k resistor inline with sensor smoothed rpm log but not cured.. ended up using a late model Digital(hall effect) sensor.. cured it straight away.. never got to the bottom of why it did it either
  11. that would be the best way to do it... obviously youll need a new 3channel ignitor.. and to pair the injectors
  12. try to run the car again and swing the closing point angle further on towards 400deg. so what happens.. perhaps take some logs also
  13. i just replied to your post mason!! lol plugs it was then. although since an evo runs waste spark packs it must have run poorly before..
  14. have you wired the ign power to the acc circuit?????? as in the power drops away upon crank position at the key switch?? you usually experience this exact thing when you do have autoconnect on and you go straight to engine running while the software is offline
  15. usually youll have a demand input from the dash switch and then a output from the ecu once the idle trims have been implemented as to not stall the engine.. have you found the output pin to the a/c clutch relay? the G4's idle control probably could manage to hold the rpm steady if you set the idle gain faster and higher than usual then set the max dc to the upper rpm limit so it doesnt run away with the rpms.
  16. perhaps the inj crive is clipping?? what Z are your inj circuits?? is your pressure regulator referencing to boost properly?? whats your base pressure? try not to fuss about the lag times too much at the minute... you say doesnt run well after 80%dc. how do you mean? could be injection timing?
  17. plus 1 to that... check your inj duty while its happening. you may need to check your TPS cal or adjust the value in the tune
  18. hello.. send me yor tune to [email protected] i'll have a quick look see if anything is obvious...
  19. atomisation may be poor at lower DC's with the 1600cc.. i always tune inj after the tune is complete by removing alt fuse and stabilising af's at idle with lag times as batt v decreases.. you can extrapolate the higher v from this curve semi accuratly.. seems like you have fuel delivery problems there..
  20. This ecu is now fitted and mapped.. the job went very smoothly.. pm for more info if intersted.
  21. from my experience it has shown that the 4d fuel map would end up usually only containing negative numbers.. and esp at WOT there would be no trim at all.. dependant on the boost characteristics of the turbo there will be a point where tps fuel trim will be unused. e.g 55% throttle.? your fuel map is a little odd looking also.. go try tune WOT then start to work back thro the part throttle cross oversites where you see an over rich situation and trim from tps map. the tps map usually would end up very smooth
  22. hello this week i will be fitting a g4 to the eec4 equiped ford escort cosworth ( small turbo version) apart from the obvious ignitor swop and cas rewire should be smooth transistion.. although a pinout would be very handy.. so if anyone has a pinout for this ecu please could you mail me at [email protected]... many thanks in advance if you can help..
  23. does the g4extreme support the DL1 dashboard logger??? there is obviously the display link product, but want to use the DL1 as it has lat and long g inputs etc etc thanks in advance
