  1. Worked out that I can do it with the runtime list. On a seperate note, is there a way to do peak type gauges? I'd like to know peak boost and peak int duty cycle. At the moment I'm doing it by data logging, then looking at the parameters list view properties to get the max value. Is there a way I can also display if the ecu is running in CLL? couldn't find it under the run time list
  2. Ok, set the 12v switch to be bridged with the 12v ign into the relay, and the link is now the ground. Test works. Is there a way in pclink I can have a display or gauge to know when it switches the fan on? otherwise i'll put an led somewhere
  3. Hi Can a G4 gtslink use the stock knock sensors? I've had a look through the wiring diagram and pin outs and there is nothing for them so I'm assuming no thanks
  4. Just rtfm and the controller is positive switched, so I'll wire it to be negative switched and go from there.
  5. Hi team I have a g4 pnp gtrlink, I'm trying to get only 1 fan going to start with using the stock Aux Inj 8 pinout which has been assigned to Engine fan. I hooked up pin 6 from the ecu (which is aux inj 8) to the same cable that I had an aftermarket fan controller hooked up to which goes to my relay. It works fine with the old fan controller, but when I plug it into the Link and set it to test on either low or high it won't switch the fan on. Any thoughts before I pull the multimeter out? Thanks in advance
  6. I have a g4 gtslink. the current output is only for map and ect. i'm in the middle of setting it up so I can run a win tablet as the dash for the track, or maybe leave it permanently for the street, which would always have pclink running to show me any errors. I also rely on the engine limiting functions to protect it.
  7. Thanks, I set the old fan controller to 90deg and the link to control the other fan at 96deg I don't have a/c in my car and I used the original a/c aux for a shift light. I noticed on my link one of the aux was for a CE light which is only for map and ECT, could I use this aux for the second fan. I have a good water temp gauge.
  8. Thanks. Prior to the link I had a fan controller which had a temp sensor in the top radiator hose which I could put back into service. does any have a recommended temp to have the second fan turn on? i have a skyline and might look to see if I can remove the fpcm on aux 3 which would give me a spare output to drive the second fan
  9. Merry xmas all i have a single 14" fan that runs off a 25a fuse and struggles with Auckland traffic. i want to switch to 2x12 and was thinking of a hi and low temp setup. However I want to avoid running another fuse and relay and using up 2 outputs. i would also like to wire up and auto/override witch for track days. any thoughts would be much appreciated
  10. Hi Does anyone have a good layout I could use as a dash. I have hard wired in a windows 10 8" tablet as the dash. Thanks in advance
  11. I got a g4 ecu that had 4.4.3 and I upgraded it in one go to 4.10. This was a fresh install and tune with 4.10 though, I didn't use anything from 4.4.3
  12. Great 2 spare outs I could use long term for ext map and fuel press
  13. Would you still run the Nb o2 if you had a permanent Wideband?
  14. I've started setting up my G4 gtslink and from what i can read from the pinouts, it has 2 an volt outputs onboard (1x internal map, 1x spare (car is not a gtr) and 1x extra with the xs loom. Would I be correct in saying that if I run a wideband and an oil pressure sensor that the're all used? Can the an volt 1 for the internal map sensor be reused (i.e. for external map sensor), obviously with some soldering by the looks of it. The other sensors I'd like to add long term if possible would be external map sensor (when I'm at that point of requiring one) and a fuel pressure sensor.
  15. Excellent, just trying to give back to the community as I work in IT. Hopefully that compensates for some newbie Q's
  16. Just buy the link tuning cable, that is what I did.
  17. Hi all I've installed PCLink today on Windows 10 and can connect to my plug in G4 fine. So its safe to upgrade.
  18. Good to know Dave. My primary aim is to use it for gauges and basic switching of boost/data logging as I only want to buy a cheap tablet for it. For tuning my preference would be to use a full laptop because I'm a keyboard guy.
  19. Great to know about leaving the cable plugged in. I've looked at a few Windows tablets and aware I will need an adapter to take the full size usb. Just need one to test with that I can install pclink so that the driver installs to see if the tablet will recognise the link.
  20. Hi I'm looking at a windows tablet to run in the car full time with pclink displaying the gauges. Are there any issues with leaving the tuning cable always plugged into the ecu? Has anyone else done this? Thanks in advance
  21. Hi What does the power steer switch do on the Nissan ECUs? Is it a hicas related setting?
  22. Thanks for the quick response. I don't have A/C in my car, so I was thinking of poaching the DI4 used for A/C in for Launch. It's a G4 and not a G4+
  23. Hi I've just got a G4 plug in to replace my G1 plugin for an RB. Looking in the install manual it has aux 5 as a pin function, but on the pinout for the rb there is no Aux5. Does it exist at all on the RB connector? The other question I have is I had launch control on the G1 and it used pin 44 for the RB, but on the pinout for the G4 it isn't listed. Thanks in advance.
