  1. Hi there

I am looking at setting up the traction control with my Link g4+ on my r33 gtr, I was wondering if I would need to wire each wheels ABS sensor to the ECU with an XS loom

I currently also have  Do-Luck DTM II installed, will that have any negative affect on the traction control from the ECU or will it work harmoniously

    Thanks in advance all

  2. Will the ECU USB output enough ampage to charge the tablet while in use?

A standard USB 2 port outputs 500ma and a USB 3 outputs 900ma, I would imagine the tablet to need about 1.2amps+ in order to charge it while the screen is on or the tablet is being used

The oil temp sensor in a GTR is not connected to the ECU at all, it is only used to signal the dashboard gauge only.

    Ahh ok

So would I need a replacement sender installed ?

I think I must have one because I think at one point it was working

I think possibly it might be this one

    https://www.rhdjapan.com/hks-camp-2-i-f-option-parts-temperature-sensor.html

Because when I had the camp 2 installed it definitely showed oil temperature

Just an update, my engine builder said he think he put a defi sender in there, so what settings would I need for that please

    thanks in advance

  4. Hi All

I have a Gaugeart box hooked up to an LCD to show data from my ECU for my r33 GTR

I have managed to get most sensors setup and working but for some reason I cannot get oil temperature to display, I am not sure if I need to enable it somewhere in the ECU or if it is enabled by default, since the r33 gtr comes with an analog display oil temp sensor originally installed in the dash

I have an oil pressure sensor hooked up which is working fine.

Have attached a copy of my PCLR

    Thanks in advance

  5. Hi all

Jumped in my car today to take it for a drive and the car has a seriously rough idle which then cuts out and when I try to rev the engine it struggles to get above 4k and just keeps backfiring.

I pulled the plugs and they were pretty black so swapped for brand new ones but the foul within the first couple of starts and have the same issues.

The car was running fine last time I drove it a week ago with no issues at all.

I have attached a log file and my current map

    Thanks in advance

  6. Our generic dash stream sends out all 4 wheel speeds, but your car only has one VSS connected so only one of those wheel speeds will work, the other 3 will read zero.I just had a look at Gaugeart's documentation but it doesnt state anywhere which wheel speed channel their device is actually looking for so you are going to have to experiment a bit in PCLink.

Go to your DI3 settings, change its function to try LF,LR,RF,RR, hopefully one of those will work.

Cheers @Adamw will go and try that now!

  7. The Obd2 will need to be on its own CAN bus.  CAN Lambda, dash2pro & Gaugeart will all be fine together on the same Bus and there will be no speed implications.

Ok great, so long  as there is absolutely no possible chance it could interfere or slow down my CAN lambda in anyways then I will do that

    Thanks again

  8. Hey all

Currently on my CAN1 I have my lambda sensor which runs at 1mbit

    and on

    CAN2 I have my gaugeart, dash2pro and OBD2 port

The problem I am having is that the gaugeart and dash2pro both run at 1mbit and the OBD2 at 500kb. If I set the CAN port to one or the other either the OBD2 doesn't work or the gaugeart/dash2pro doesn't work

It is my understanding that having multiple devices on the CAN slows the speed down, I am therefore reluctant to put the gaugeart and dash2pro no the CAN1 as I want the lambda to be running as fast as possible without chance of slowdown.

My question is, could I use a resistor or something to trick the OBD2 port to think it is only running at 500kb while I have the actual port set to 1Mbit to run the other devices ?

    Thanks in advance

  9. Hi there

Which sensors would be recommend plug and play to easily integrate with the link g4+ ecu for my rb26dett engine please

Want to monitor all the main important information, oil pressure, water temp, egt, o2 etc etc

I currently have the HKS camp 2 additional sensors, could they just be wired in ?

    https://www.nengun.com/hks/camp-2

Will I also need the XS expansion loom ?

Would it also be worth fitting the Link igniter ?

    Thank you in advance

  10. Check out gaugeart.com, they do a CAN  to video adaptor that works with G4+. You will need their vga to composite adapter also if your lcd doesn't have vga.  I don't think you will be able to use torque via obd2 and gaugeart at the same time however since they probably use different streams.

    Thanks Adam

I will look into this now

  11. Cheers Simon

Any info about being able to get a video stream from the Dash 2 to an RCA

I have looked at the connections and cannot see a video out anywhere on my unit, so far my idea would be to use a OBD2 to usb into an android device running Torque, then output the android device hdmi to rca converter box then rca into the dash, unless you can recommend a simpler way

  12. Excellent, thank you Simon.

Do you know if I wired 2 obd2 ports they would both read the data equally to different devices ?

Also, is there a video out on the Link ecu, I have the nismo lcd dash as attached picture, I also have purchased the Link dash which will be used mainly for race days and just attached to the steering column as and when needed. but for daily driving if i could feed the data to the video rca on the Nismo dash that would be great

    thank you in advance

  13. Hi there

I have just ordered my link g4+ plugin along with the dash and all the bells and whistles.

The r33 gtr uses the Nissan consult cableandd I was just wondering if it would be possible to wire an obd2 port to the ecu in order to send telemetry via Bluetooth to the Torque android app
