  1. Just a follow up to say I used the arcol HS50 2.2's, worked a treat. Just lopped off the connector from the factory dropping resistor, then wired them all into that, used a metal box from jaycar as the enclosure. Just plugs into existing loom now. Ended up doing 896whp, no ill side effects from what the tuner could see.
  2. Have a link g4+ plugin running 2400cc siemens injectors on a rb26/30. Prior to this, was running bosch 2200cc injectors. Cold start was bad with the 2200cc, now its absolutely terrible. Possible the tune needs some work in this area, if anyone can give me some pointers to try and make this any better, that would be great. Cheers.
  3. No problem thanks again Adam.
  4. OK what about: Injector flow @ rated pressure Injector dead time table Short pulse width adder Surely items in here need to change when going to a completely different injector Adam? Cheers. PS thanks for your input/help with this
  5. Hi Adam, I ended up getting some 2.2 resistors, and have it all wired up now with the injectors in. I was just wondering if you might be able to crack open the .pclr file I have uploaded, and make the necessary changes for these injectors? I would be more than happy to pop some cash into a paypal account for you.
  6. Thanks heaps for your help Adam, ill stick to the 2.2 then. I've never heard of these RS guys before, but those prices are pretty decent. Cheers.
  7. Would the bal2 resistors you sell work Adam? They are 1ohm 50w? I'm in Brisbane Australia.
  8. Appreciate that info Adam, know anywhere decent to pickup those 2.2ohm 50w resistors?
  9. Is there anything else that should be noted apart from having to run a ballast Adam? I'm going to be running the standard r32 gtr ballast resistor with them.
  10. OK great thanks Motomattx.

    Injector change

Hey guys, Have recently changed injectors from bosch 2200cc CNG to siemens deka 2400cc. The 2200 CNG's were giving me dramas at high temps using e85. Basically just wanting to know what I need to change in the menu just so I can get it running again and move it out of my garage, and possibly back down to tuners. Tune file attached, any help at all would be awesome. Cheers. 2630.pclr
  12. No worries Adam appreciate it, ill try that first and see what happens.

  14. Hey guys, Car is a 1990 gtir with an sr20det. The guy I bought the car from gave us a Link G3 plugin which has since been upgraded to G4 by Link in NZ and had the tune brought across. Pretty sure the guy I got the car from got the ECU from someone else, so it's a total mystery tune. Our current sr20det has 263 cams, 800cc sard injectors and a 2871r turbo, all we are looking to do is get it running reasonably enough to get it down the road to the tuner. At the moment it's coughing and spluttering, and smells very very strong like fuel. Can someone please point me in the right direction of what changes I need to make in PC link just to get it idling and driving down the rd? Help would be very very much appreciated. Injectors are SARD 800cc, no idea what the tune was using before. Current tune attached. Cheers. gtir.pcl These are the injectors is has now: 800cc TOP Low 2 Yellow green Oval 1.10msec 63566
  15. Awesome thanks Adam, will give that a try tonight then.
  16. OK thanks heaps for that Adam. Would simply removing the MAP limit work for me as a test? Your are correct, it drives terrible with light throttle load, its hard to explain, but its very on/off/jerky with light throttle.
  17. OK did multiple trigger scope's few at idle, few at 4K, few at 5k ish. Can you take a look when you get a chance Adam and tell me what you think? Cheers mate. It has priority set to trigger 1 which is crank, but I don't think the top trigger 2 on the cam is setup at all?
  18. OK ill try that tonight. Did the log reveal that it is having trigger issues Adam?
  19. I can do it again, but pretty sure I did it once before and didn't find any issues.
  20. Hey Adam, Just an update on this, I have re-wired all the triggers with shielded all the way back to the ECU connector for both sensors. I took it for a run after this, still the same. I finally got around to taking it for a run tonight and logging the drive, it happened twice whilst driving on this occasion, one should be towards the back of the log. My tuner couldn't find the issue, so I'm at a cross road. Here is the log: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AgHRVnwxDzLUiWcpUzL-Kv8n6k7_ Cheers. I should add as well, it seems to be most apparent going into 3rd gear, then putting the power down. Also it doesn't seem to be that apparent on the dyno, as in the tuner reported he was getting trigger errors higher in the rev range, but we could do full power runs without much issue. Soon as it hits the street, its pretty much not drive able, soon as it hits 3rd and the power comes on it does it. 20219.pclr
  21. OK cool, yeh I was taking some of it with a grain of salt, the main one I was concerned with was the shielding part. What I have done is met up with the existing nissan CAS shielded wiring/loom. Because the rb26 has no factory crank pickup but, I think I may have run 3 short un-shielded wires from the crank cherry, to meet up with the factory nissan shielded wiring. All i did was chuck some conduit around it. The cam pickup goes straight into the nissan shielded wiring. Cheers.
  22. Thanks Adam I got that. Was just having a read of this: http://www.cpgnation.com/forum/threads/inductive-vs-hall-effect-sensors-something-to-consider.21418/ This comment: Always twist the three wires together and shielding them is always a good idea. Should I be using shielded cabling and twisting? Just trying to do anything I can to fix it.
  23. Thanks Adam, ill move onto doing a triggerscope then. That link doesn't appear to be working for the triggerscope, do you have that somewhere else I can download? Cheers.
  24. Hi guys, I have a g4+ running a rb26/30 with one of these trigger kits: https://rossperformanceparts.com/product/nissan-rb-36t-crank-trigger-kit-2/ Now the issue is the car will start to ramp up onto boost, then all of the sudden does this really violent bang/backfire and instantly loses power. Sometimes it does it, sometimes not and will pull clean to redline. It seems to get worse as the car gets hot. It's literally driving me insane. Last time at the track we had to pull out of the session and go home. Its using the Cherry sensor, with the 36-2 crank trigger disc. Had it tuned the other day, and it was getting a "few" trigger errors up top but I was told would be OK. I was told to install the 12-1 trigger disc on crank instead to attempt to resolve. So, what I would like to do is take it for a run tonight, and log everything it does back to a laptop. Can someone give me a quick run down of how to get it recording back to laptop? I just want something I can save, that someone on here can look at and just confirm what the cause is. Cheers.
  25. Appreciate your help Adam, your a good bunch of guys at Link. Attached is a trigger scope, and a log file of it occurring. When running it again just now, it almost feels like some kind of cut occurring, just stops revving once it hits a high rpm, comes back down again and continues to run.
