Gabet
I have a galant Vr4 pnp ecu in my 1g dsm. I have my Electric fan ground wire going to my relay is to pin 59 on the ecu witch is is aux 7. Ground trigger from pin 59 on the ecu goes to pin 85 on the relay. Pin 30 on the relay goes to 12v Constant power. Pin 86 on the relay goes the 12v switched power. Pin 87 on relay goes to power on the fan. When I turning the key to the on position. Relay clicks like a machine gun. Fan is set up on the ecu to come on at 180 degrees. Fan will go on and off and click the relay and almost any temp. Does anyone have any input for me. Please and thank you!!
Adamw
If the relay is clicking then that would suggest pin 86 still has a connection to 12V (or less somehow). You say it comes from "switched power", but if it really had no power then it couldnt click.
Gabet
I will double check tomorrow. But when the key is in the on/run position it makes a machine gun sound. With the engine running coolant temp could be at 90 or 100 or 180 degrees doesn’t really matter fans will come on and go off and on and off. Adamw
Sorry I read your post wrong initially, I read it as clicking when turning ign off. I guess if Aux 5,6 or 8 was still set to ISC stepper it could make aux 7 behave weird, have you turned all those off?
Gabet
I have not but I can do that. You think it’s just tricking aux 7? Or do you think that aux 7 can be a bad channel ( if that’s that you would call it. )
Adamw
Aux 7 & 8 work in tandem if one is set to stepper.
Gabet
Okay so pin 58 on ecu is aux 8 which is isc motor output a1 and pin 59 on ecu is aux 7 which is isc motor output coil a2 i have the the fan wired to pin 59 so maybe I have to check and make sure that I have pin 58 turned off. Maybe that is the issue.
