2TGMike
Hello Everyone, I am setting up a Toyota 2T-GEU with Link G4+. The factory throttle body has a manual idle speed control screw. My question is if I am using a 2 wire idle speed control valve do I also need the manual control screw? Any help will be most appreciated. Thanks
Adamw
You will possibly need to adjust it once just to allow for the range of airflow increase/decrease the idle valve can cover but once it is set you should never need to touch it again. The usual procedure is with the idle valve unplugged/disconnected/blocked you want to adjust the throttle stop so that at normal operating temperature the engine can only just/barely idle. 2TGMike
Thanks for that. So if I adjust the throttle stop as you described I no longer need the manual control screw?

Adamw
I dont really remember what a 2TG had for an air bypass, all the ones I remember working on had solex's. LOL. As long as there is some way to roughly adjust the base amount of air going into the engine that is all you need. Throttle stop or bypass screw will be fine but dont need both.
