Muhammad Aiman
I've plug in the newly purchased ecu and follow the step for calibrating the TPS, IAT and MAP. When doing the trigger calibration, i went through the steps only to find out that the car does not crank when the start key is turned Currently running on the stock mapping for Evo 1-3 without the O2 sensor, i've cleared the error by changing the error limit to zero. Else, i have done the start test mode on the ecu with same result. No voltage is detected on the multimeter when testing for the current at the starter relay. The ecu reads a drop of ~9.5V from 12V during cranking and all the dash dims but no crank at all. The car runs brilliantly on the stock ecu. Adamw
The ecu has absolutely no influence on the starter motor at all. The starter solenoid connects directly to the ignition switch. It should crank over without a ecu even plugged in.
