Sixline
Hey everyone, I am doing a VW 07K 5 cylinder swap into a Porsche 944 using a FuryX. The engine is commonly referred to as an 07K but has many engine codes and variations. My engine has two 5v hall effect sensors, 60-2 on the crank and a 4 tooth(2 big 2 small) setup on the intake cam. It has VVT on the intake cam only. Can I use the 'Audi 4.2L V8 VVT' trigger mode even though this is an inline 5? If not, what would be recommended? Thanks!
Vaughan
looks to be the same, take a triggerscope and post it up here though to be sure.
Sixline
Hey Vaughan, sorry for taking so long to reply. When I posted this I didn't have the wiring harness built yet. I got the car running this weekend and the Audi trigger mode seems to work great. Here is the trigger scope and the settings I used for anyone that might come across this in the future. Vaughan
The cam trigger seems to be about 9deg advanced in that scope when compared to out Audi 4.2L V8 pattern but relative timing of cam teeth to each other looks identical, looks like it should work perfectly.
