GRS
Hello. I am using a MX5 G4X plug-in model. I am having trouble getting it to start and when I log it I get a trigger 1 error. Sometimes the engine starts right away and when it does, the trigger error does not appear. The frequency seems to be the same whether the water temperature is low or high. Is there any way to fix this problem? Trigger scope log (cases of fast trigger recognition) Idle→Blank Time→Blank Teeth→First Tooth→Second Tooth →Test Gap→Start Counting Large→Count Small→Count Large →Count Small→Count Large→Count Small.... (Repeat) Trigger scope log (cases of slow trigger recognition) Idle→Blank Time→Blank Teeth→First Tooth→Second Tooth →Test Gap→Start Counting Large→Count Small→Idle (trigger error) regards. Adamw
Are you using the latest firmware in the ECU 6.21.14? This sounds like you may have the problem that has already been fixed:

Adamw
Can you do me a few more trigger scopes of cranking. I suspect there may be a small spike of electrical noise coming through intermittently which upsets the edge count. Does it have stock ignition system? Resistor spark plugs and leads? GRS
Yes, it is. NA8 stock coil. NGK cable. Plugs are NGK. I noticed by comparing the trigger scope that when I get a trigger error, it is always when the third tooth of trigger 2 rises. (720 degrees after the first tooth is detected). Sometimes there is no trigger error. (60% of the time?)

GRS
Hello. I sent you the trigger scope, did you find the problem? We are looking for something on the hardware side to address this issue here as well. Thanks.
