Jlam15
Looking for some assistance on making sure I have all I need to turbo my NA SR20. Currently I have a S13 Link G4X, xs loom, GT2871r, Adjustable wastegate, Blitz FMIC. Question is, will I need a boost solenoid for my set-up? And how will I run the vacuum lines from where to where. 2.0L_turbo
That would depend on a few things, would you like the ecu to control the boost pressure? If so you will need to get a electronic boost controller solenoid. as for the vac lines this all depends on the wastegate and how many ports it is. Every set up is a bit different so with out knowing exactly what you have its hard to help.
Jlam15
I would yes, goal is to run at most 15 psi. So I should look into the Boost Control Solenoid - 3 Port (3BCS)? The wastegate I have has one port on it, and just factory de vac lines.
2.0L_turbo
this is a diagram for how to hook up the ebc and yes for your needs a 3 port is more then enough. Myself personally if the boost pressure is only as low as 15psi I would be just fining a spring combo that hits your desired pressure but that's my personal preference. here is a diagram showing how to hook up a 3 port EBC. Jlam15
Thanks so much for the info on how to use the boost solenoid. Are you able to explain how I would run the vac lines with out the solenoid?
