fronix
Hi, Bought a G4x for my -04 sti and had it mapped by a tuner. However, during the mandatory yearly inspection that we are required to do, they couldn't get a connection using the OBD2 connector. Can't get the car green lighted before they can connect to the OBD2. Is there something I need to switch around to get the original OBD2 connector to work? Adamw
It is illegal for the non original certified vehicle ecu to broadcast emissions readiness messages.
fronix
But they don't use the OBD2 for emissions, it's only used to check if there are any error codes. Emissions are done externally for my car
fronix
Ah okay I see what you mean now, yeah makes sense. I'll have to use the original ECU for those then, not a big deal
