NEO14
Hi brains trust, I have a fresh build that I am trying to start for the first time but having some issues with the triggers. The engine is an SR20VET with Hall Sensor Trigger Kit from TAARKS. The engine will fire but wont run as the RPM dies down to 0. Looking at the triggers it seems that trigger 1 isn't stable and produces errors while cranking. I have attached the Trigger scope log but unsure if it worked properly since is doesn't show any data? Thanks Nick TriggerScopeLog 1.1.llgx
Adamw
Yes you've got random spikes to 0V on both trig 1 & 2. The ecu wont be happy with that. Do those spikes disappear if you unplug the ign coils or turn off ign in the software?
NEO14
I haven't tried that, will give it a run in the morning and see what comes up.
NEO14
Hi Adam, It seems to do the same thing with the injection turned off? Any other ideas on what could be causing this... TriggerScopeLog.llgx

Adamw
Can you give us bit more info about the application - plug-in or wire in? Factory loom or custom? What does it have connected to auxes?
NEO14
Full wire in with custom loom and PDM. Is this what you were after?
NEO14
Any ideas on where i should look next to rectify the trigger issue? I have put a new sensor and wheel thinking it was a faulty product but still have the same issue. The wiring has been double checked and have been given the green light. Is there something i am missing with the setup?
Adamw
Those spikes usually come from some stray current finding an easier path back to the battery through the sensor wiring rather than its correct route. This is usually a poor ground. The spikes you have in your scope occur quite regularly approx every 720 degs. The only devices in your IO list that pull current once every 720 deg is either injectors or coils. Can you try doing a scope with all injectors and coils unplugged. NEO14
Hi Adam, thanks for the reply. I have done another log for you to have a look at... This log is with both the injectors and coils disconnected TriggerScopeLog.llgx
Adamw
No there is still the odd spike there and the ecu isnt happy with it. Can you do a PC log of it cranking. Do you have a jumper pack or similar so we could try powering that sensor from a standalone source?
NEO14
Did you want that log with injectors and coils plugged in? No i dont have a jumper pack or something similar handy to power the sensor..... PC Datalog - 2022-11-16 1_41_23 pm.llgx
