Wiks
Am getting the error, extra pulses only on LH side of my subaru wrx when trying to sort my vvt rear cam sensors. RH side works fine. What does this mean? Or how can I trouble shoot this? Cheers!

Wiks
It's a EJ257 block, running EJ207 V7 sti heads with vvt. Running reluctant triggers. I.hope I got that right? Cheers
Adamw
Can you set >VVT>cam angle test to LH Inlet, and set the test pulse count to 4, then do use a short log with some revs etc. Attach that and a copy of your tune.

Wiks
Hey Adam, I noticed a few mistakes in my tune so ive sorted those and re uploaded the tune file and a new log. I had some success after playing around today. The LH side is now reading 4 pulses as it should. The RH is doing the same. However both sides still have the error extra pulses. I have replaced the LH side with a new test loom and wired it correctly. So any ideas about this? WRX GC8KNG.pclr avcs2.llg
Adamw
You need to use Subaru EJ20AVCS vvt mode. An EJ207 has 4 teeth on the cam, an EJ25 has 3 teeth. Once that is changed then use the cam angle test on each side to set the correct offset on the DI's. Instructions are in the help file page: G4+ ECU Tuning Functions > VVT Control > Tuning VVT Control > Cam Angle Test Wiks
Wiks
Hey Adam, Just wanted to let you know, i adjusted that setting as you suggested. And BOOM! Works perfectly! You are the man alright! Took the car for a tune and it got some really good numbers as well. So extra happy with that. Thanks bro.
