Link g4+ pnp evo 8 instrument cluster

So I bought a built Evo 8 with a powertune digital dash. I'm trying to go back to the factory instrument cluster and wanted to tackle it myself. the car is equipped with a link g4+ pnp. Is there any complexity to this? Would it be a simple removal and plugging in the old connectors or does the ECU change things up?

The ECU has little interaction with the OEM dash so it should be reasonably straightforward providing the original cluster wiring is still there and not hacked up.  The ecu sends a tacho signal to the cluster is about the only interaction and this is still likely set up in the ecu.
