Does VooDoo support MAP self learning?

I am trying to decide between a Voodoo ECU and a competitor.

Does the Voodoo ECU support self-learning or do the Maps have to be hard coded and updated manually?

"MAP" as in your manifold absolute pressure gauge or "map" as in your fuel map? Link doesn't really have the normal pdf documentation available for download, you have to download and install the free PCLink tuning software and its help file contains all of the documentation.

• Quick Tune is an interactive tuning tool that assists in time efficient tuning of the main fuel table. A graphical display of Target Lambda/AFR (desired) and Actual Lambda/AFR (measured) is provided. A Multi pointer gauge allows the tuner to quickly see how close Actual Lambda/AFR is to the Target Lambda/AFR. Quick Tune can be setup to operate over the entire fuel table or just over a particular area. Quick Tune can be used in Manual or Automatic modes. In Manual mode, Quick Tune guides you to cell centering and advises you when is a suitable time to make a fuel table adjustment. With the press of a key a calculated adjustment is made. Often only one or two adjustments are required to tune each cell. In Automatic mode Quick Tune does all the adjustment work for you. This leaves the tuner free to operate the Dyno or perform other tuning work such as making ignition table adjustments.

• ·All other ECU functions including ignition and boost control should be tuned before using Quick Tune.
• ·Closed Loop Lambda should be turned off before using Quick Tune.

After tuning the Closed Loop Lambda can trim the fuel while running to meet your lambda targets, and the Long Term Trim feature can capture these changes for potential improvement of your base fuel maps.

G4X and G5 ECUs do have Closed Loop Lambda with long term trims if that is what you mean by self learning, it is always recommended to do a decent amount of tuning first though before relying on Closed Loop Lambda.
