Chris-Andre Lie Posted April 4, 2007 Report Share Posted April 4, 2007 i got a 2 channel ignition (the silver modul) on my sierra cosworth, with a msd coilpack from a zetec engine. ive tried to crank the engine but both the dual channel ignitier and the coilpack gets så extremly hot!! whats the problem here? ashesman Posted April 9, 2007 Report Share Posted April 9, 2007 The problem is probably that you have the ignition 'Dwell Edge' set to falling. This inverts the ignition as typically used on Ford igniters. It means that the coil will be charging all the time and off when it should be firing! If that is not the case, make sure you are not running excessive dwell time and check that all wiring, especially grounds are OK.
